- Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi, or simply Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic whose words still reverberate powerfully in the hearts and minds of millions of people around the world. Known for his captivating, inspirational, and thought-provoking verses, Rumi's teachings are deeply rooted in love, self-reflection, and an all-encompassing understanding of reality.
Sufism, or Tasawwuf as it is known in the Arabic-speaking world, is a mystical form of Islam that emerged in the early stages of Islamic history. Its origins can be traced back to the 7th century in the Middle East, where it evolved as a dimension of Islamic practice that emphasizes the inward search for God and the rejection of materialism. It centers around the concept of Tawhid, the absolute oneness of God, a realization of which could be said forms the crux of "The Secret"; although, admittedly, the secret is beyond words.
"The Secret" in Sufism refers to the underlying, subtle truth of existence and the interconnectedness of all creation. This concept, mystifying yet enlightening, holds a profound understanding of the nature of reality.
In this video, we will delve into some of Rumi's most impactful quotes that delve into "The Secret".

Lest you fear death, know that "Death is like the extinguishing of a lamp...because the dawn has come."--Rumi

@@echoes-of-wisdom As you are aware it's hard to go wrong when quoting Rumi
All too true 🌹❤️
@@echoes-of-wisdom I'm guessing English may not be your native language? The phrase "all too true" expresses regret over something that one doesn't like or that one regrets. For example, it's all too true that Trump has a chance at being re-elected to the Presidency even though he's lifetime con man. Regareding Rumi's quote, perhaps you meant to say "very true!" ?
It’s my native language; admittedly, it’s “all too true” I mess up English sayings often 😆.
Rumi Once says, that like the seed goes into the soil and come out as a tree then why do we doudt for humans when he goes into the grave!
the phrase are in my own words but the narrative was similar to above. If anyone know what does Rumi ment by this phrase!
Beautiful words - it sounds to me like he is saying the life we live here in duniya forms the seed that is placed in the soil of the grave, then it sprouts into a tree in the Akhirah (afterlife). Essentially we reap what we sow. Then perhaps that tree drops a seed after that and so forth, the seed adapting and evolving each time depending on the circumstances.
Allāh is the originator and repeater of that seed, as it says in the Quran:
“Allah begins creation; then He will repeat it; then to Him you will be returned.”
Quran 30:11
Death is not the end, life of the soul is like a cycle!
