1 foot apart is incorrect. From the Little Tykes 2-in-1 Snug ‘N Secure Swing instruction manual: “Attachment points should be 18” apart from each other.”
I believe I bolted into 6x4 It's possible to do in 2x4 but I'm not sure if I would trust it unless its very secure. If you can replace it with something much heftier like 4x4 6x4 that would be ideal
Nope. No installation hardware. I’m putting mine on a swing set and will need additional hardware. I guess there are too many variables for them to include one? I don’t know.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

“Should be” means that it is suggested to be that width but I don’t do suggestions 😎
What size board did you attach to? would a 2x4 on my pergola suffice?

does the swing hardware come with the swing?
It doesn't, I bought the hardware at Home Depot for I think under 15$
What is the name of the hardware?
Sorry late response, it’s called swing hardware. Search that in the Home Depot website

I'm really sure you can build it yourself. I did this 2 weeks ago thanks to the Woodglut plans.
