Thanks for watching my video. Yes, I calibrated the bias a bit, I also adjusted the sound recording and playback level. And I adjusted the vu meters. I used an audio cassette on which my friend recorded a signal at 0db on a Revox cassette deck.
@@era.deejay The dolby circuits like the levels to be adjusted correctly, but the dbx NR doesn't worry what levels it gets. I'm thinking of buying one of these decks on ebay. What does piano sound like on recordings ? Is there much flutter ? Looking at the service manual it would be quite easy to bring the bias adjust to the front panel with a dual 10K pot.
