I'm the same way when it comes to Shell Cordovan. People outside the leather crafting world don't realize how incredibly 'chunky' a 100% Shell wallet actually is. Not only that but because shell is so thick, it limits the possibilities in patterns. I do the same as STR and use high grade, but lower ounce leather weight on interior batteries. It's the only way to achieve variety in Shell. Looks good 🍺👍

yes in my case. Good quality leather wallet lasts for decades. My mom bought one from the 80s and she gave it to me because it’s still in good condition. It depends on each person I guess

You can easily sew without a stitching pony. I use both methods - with and without a stitching pony, depends on the situation
