The reason I love Disneyland is because it really gives you that sense that your in a different world and in a magical place I love Disneyland
That darn castle lightning gets me EVERY time, in person, on video, doesn’t matter, without fail. It’s the part where the music swells that the tears just cannot be contained!
I ugly cried right along with you there Liz, lol. There is just something so incredibly magical about it, even the crowds. The music, the snow, the lights. Purest love, light, and magic. Thank you for the video till I can be there again. Happy Holidays to your family.

Happy holidays! I saw you and Liz on Main Street following the tree lighting. You both had big smiles on your faces. It was a magical day filled with lots of positive energy and excitement.
We waited over 2 and a half hours for Small World! They did give us a free lightning lane after for waiting so that was nice. They shut the line down shortly after we got there so lucky to have even gotten on!
My birth daughter is there celebrating graduating from dental hygienist school. She bought me a pin. Excited to get it.

Thank you for showcasing yet another special day at Disneyland that I will never in my life attend in person because the park has gotten so obnoxious and overcrowded over the years that I can barely stomach it. I especially love how everyone is dressed for winter even though it’s still roughly 80° in Southern California.
Thought about reserving for Friday but ultimately guessed it would be crazy packed. I’m sure everyone involved was working as hard as they could. Always appreciate David and Liz bringing the positive vibes and sharing with us.

I was there with my kids this day also and it was a rough time. We did enjoy ourselves, but every ride we went on broke down and it was hard to see the decorations through the mass of people. We're going back today for Dapper Day hoping it'll be better.
So nice- especially the snow after the fireworks. We’ll be there in a few days and I plan to watch fireworks from Main Street so I can see projections on the storefronts and will soak up the vibes as the snow falls afterwards.

I make those sandwiches the night of with the leftovers and for the next like three days. That’s my fav reason for holiday food is the everything sandwich!
Will be there in a week to show a family member around who has been to DL once with friends (but they didn't give her a proper introduction). May have to deal with rain part of the time, but that adds to the lighting, I think. This video has me all excited!
Hopefully crowds are less bc of the rain.

I am right there with you about the snow. I’ve seen it so many times over the years but every time it still makes me tear up. I tell everybody that no matter how old I get Disneyland is still such a magical place to me. Especially at Christmas time. It’s so beautiful and they make it so incredibly special even if it’s the same Disneyland, the same parade, the same fireworks, the same snow you’ve seen countless times. It’s just as special every time. Went on Sunday for the first time at this holiday season and it was so amazing. It just warmed my heart so much. My daughter and I also watched viva navidad at California adventure for the first time ever because it was starting in 10 min and you raved about it so much and said it was so great and even though she didn’t wanna watch I told her we were going to stay anyway, and she left saying it is now her favorite Christmas show or parade.

It is crazy to me that the parade hasn't changed! I still have pictures from when I saw it as a kid.
I also remember when they first had the snow machines, I think it was after the fireworks. It was just pure magic for someone who had never seen snow fall. 33:41 I am tearing up remembering that feeling and just staying with everyone.
I am going to say something very unpopular I am so tired of that song and the parade, they need to change and update it.
You're wrong - the parade is changed in a massive way. If you cant figure it out you werent watching it carefully.

Chestnuts are big nuts (maybe like a big walnut.) that you cook and then break open a thin shell. They are soft inside and slightly sweet. They’re not normally in nut mixes because they’re too soft. You can get them from carts in the streets in New York in the winter (the carts that sell pretzels etc). Sometimes you can find them in grocery stores. I highly recommend people try it sometime. You can bake them in the oven at home (look up instructions online) I’m sure some people would hate them but if you like them it can become a holiday tradition to make them! ❤ (Liz may have been confusing them with hazelnuts. They look similar but are much bigger)

Only time I had chestnuts was at Disneyland in the early 90s. Sold where they sell popcorn to the left of Mark Twain boarding. They sold roasted chestnuts and hot cocoa. The year they did an outdoor frozen area and ice skating at the Disneyland hotel. ❤
I remember when Frozen first came out and it was playing at the AMC theater in Downtown Disney (where our family first saw it) there was an ice skating rink just outside of the Tree display. I was trying to recover from back surgery and even I was smart enough stay far, far away from the rink.
I want to get a little clicker to keep track of how many times I hear "A Christmas Fantasy" during my 2 days next month. 🤣
The projections on It's a Small World are all good and fine but I prefer watching all of those beautiful lights dance to the Christmas music.

Brr, we’ve got Santa Ana winds to rival the temps in Florida. It’s well-nigh (thank you thesaurus) a toss up.
Orlando almost 90 during the day and a nippy 70 at night. Brrrr. ;). At least Socal dipping into the fifties at night to be seasonal. Break out the spirit jerseys. ;)
My wife and I were there yesterday as well. Maybe just bad luck on our part, but it really was not enjoyable. Numerous rides down, extremely packed, frustrated cast members (don’t blame them). Seemed like a rough day for Disney.
Very packed! We waited almost 3 hours for Small World so they gave us a free lightning lane to use and even all the lightning lanes were packed!
I agree I’m at Disneyland this weekend and Friday was so frustrating, probably my worse day I’ve ever had at Disneyland but thankfully Saturday was much better, had a blast riding all the rides!
Not bad luck, just no way to have a regular park day on a Friday holiday which is also first day of all the holiday stuff. Been before when many events collided & it was rough for sure. Many yrs ago, & will never forget it ;) Hope you had/have more fun on the weekend if you’re still there.
And people want reservations gone imagine how busy it'll be without them
@@davidantunez4147 I get what you are saying, but I feel like initially it would be crazy without reservations as people would enjoy the missed freedom, but that it would settle down after a bit. All things considered I really want to see the reservation system go, but you are correct it would be crazy initially.
