Just cut any stem and plant into the normal soil or coco peat. don't require any kind of rooting powder.
    Plant propagation steps:
First of all cut any stem from the main plant. Take a well drained pot and fill it with some coco peat. Take this cutting and plant into the coco peat and press it gently. Finally give some water and keep it partial shade place. After 2 weeks cutting look like this. Look at this root development. roots are very well developed. Now we transplant into the similar pot. Take this pot and fill it with some coco peat or normal garden soil and planted this wandering jew. Finally give some water.
Wandering jew is a very low maintenance plant, don't need any special care for this planet. The caring tips of wandering jew plant:
First tip is light : It prefer indirect sunlight for best growth.
Second tip is potting mix : plant your wandering jew in well drained potting mix.
Third tip is watering : this plant love moist soil, so keep this soil just moist not soggy.
Fourth and final tip is fertilizer : this plant don't require too much fertilizer. Give vermicompost or any organic compost once in a 3 months.

Someone had bought one of these plants at a grocery store and a bunch of pieces broke off and they left them in a shopping cart. When I found them I got a water bottle from the back seat of my car and I cut a hole in the top of the cap and placed the stem down into the water just to keep it good until I got home later that day. I then got home and did exactly what you just did by putting them into a small terracotta pot with the exact same soil you just used. And definitely one of the easiest propagations I've ever done.
