I've bought your ProPractice course of Ballade no.1 for 9$ and it was worth it. The only thing I would like is for you to devote more time explaining how to improve technique, especially in the presto con fuoco section. Anyway, that course really helped me to improve my dynamics. Thank you for everything you do!
I couldn't find how to buy a course individually. I looked everywhere on the page provided on the link. I used to be able to access it easy. Can you share the link you used and how you got to the page with the individual course without subscription? Thanks.
@@papillonpapillon3761 Here is the link for all Josh's courses: joshwrightpiano.teachable.com/courses You can easily find a individual course you need by entering its name in the search bar. For example, if you need one of Chopin's Ballades ProPractice course just enter "Ballade" in the search bar and choose which one you'd like to pay for. Then follow the payment instructions. Happy practice sessions!
I have been working on this piece for a while now and as i progress further into the piece i notis the deph of it and all the small details that truly make this piece one of a kind. Love the video
Brought back memories of the past. I performed this in a piano audition years ago. It’s funny , that section u chose for the practice session was great. I often felt that if one could get through that particular run ( if u will ) with brilliance , it set the tone for the entire ballade. By the way , your performance of that in the Chopin competition captured the real passion of Poland/ Chopin. Wish I had access to your material back in the day. Great job !
It's so interesting - I can gain almost perfection when selectively practicing such a passage - and when bringing it into context the improvements just accomplished fall apart! Nice to know others are having the same difficulties with this particular spot! There are many places in this piece which are so difficult to not stress up, especially from bar130 I struggle to not get tense in a run-through and especially a concert setting. But I can easily play light and fluidly with methodical and selective practicing. I guess a lot has to do what's going on in one's head when the intimidating passages are approaching. Loving all of your videos!
I wish I had the finances for you to teach my children. How did your piano journey begin? When did you start playing and when did your parents recognize the gift and began to invest more seriously in piano lessons?

I thought I was the only one who practiced the same passage a hundred times 😎
(playing and listening) Josh would you choose to give up all 4 CHopin ballades or Rach 2 and 3?
For me rach 3

Here’s a video where I talk about my background with piano: ruclips.net/video/ZnLxb_s3gAI/видео.html
Everything goes fine until the trills on the left hand. After that I'm afraid I have to take the op 25 etudes first.
Where? The ones near the beginning?
I have some trills tutorials here on RUclips that can hopefully help you with those :)
