@@Nclsbrn89 I would check where you're dropping the cutter in the group hierarchy. If it's only cutting one, you're probably too deep into the grouping when you're placing it, or your multiple wall objects aren't grouped together?
What SketchUp really needs is to have a cutter property for any object. This way all doors and windows could be easily placed without the fuss, it would save thousands of hours across the globe. It's basic functionality and should be embedded in the program
I'm on board with this as long as it maintains the simplicity/speed of the program. What I don't want is SketchUp turning into some clunky parametric thing with slow performance.
Suppose that’s a matter of opinion - my personal opinion is that it depends on what the ramifications of building something like this in would do to the modeling engine (performance, etc). I’d love to see more live Booleans like Blender can do, but not if it would cause performance issues 🤷♂️
@@Thesketchupessentials The simple answer would be to innovate and not milk customers. Hey recently SketchUp got Ambient occlusion. I think at this point it is clear that SketchUp develops like Fusion360. Add high end features but forget the disastrous foundation. Increasingly I see interior design studios here switch to other software because they simply are feed up. Consider what SUP costs commercially and what it only delivers.
Which part specifically? The axis workflow to me is a little frustrating, but that's how SketchUp handles axes. I found making it point the right direction was a bit of a chore
Let me know if you've tried DoubleCut in the comments below! :)
don't work for me...cut only 1 face of the surface...if it's not a group and 0 face if i create a groupe

Shouldn't SketchUp be able to do this on its own - since some years?

This need to be simplified.
