    Stagger your file labels diagonally across your files so that they are easier to read and you are less likely to break them !

    Good work, Kev. How about a sheet of paper in the front of the filing cabinet or Excel file with the names/numbers of the sets listed, so that you can quickly identify the set number when you need to look for the manual?

    Really enjoying your new channel, keep up the good work 👍🏻
    You may already know but the second series of The Bricklink Designer Program sets go on preorder tomorrow (6th June). Limited run sets, definitely worth picking up even if it’s just for investment.
    Something for everyone in each series, be quick though some can sell out super quickly 😀

    No I’m with Anna when I get a file cabinet for my Lego manuals and that I’d be doing it by theme like Harry Potter brick headz. And so on etc I’d love to see Anna file cabinet and see her do hers. Yeah as it’s always good to see different ones. Done hmm

    File it under what you call it, if you call it the Jazz club, file it under J, if you call it Rivendell file it under R. We never refer to Rivendell as The Lord of The Rings Rivendell or Lego ideas telephone box, it's called telephone box. This only my opinion, and can slightly understand where you come from as I suffer from OCD. Keep up the great videos, look forward to each and every single one of them.

    It won’t be long before you need more file cabinets. I have a large 4 drawer absolutely jammed full with overflow of instructions. I do file under headings, Harry Potter, Technic, city etc. You are inspiring me to sort the overflow. 😊

    I now store mine in a box in the back of a cupboard and download instructions from Lego. I've almost never gone back to the manuals.

    Well done Kevin great job the way you sorted your manuals it's great but you will find you run out off space quickly doing that's, you need files and a stacker drawers and you can label the draws for the sets if it's city label it city extra, have fun your doing the sets right with number but please put the name as it's comes up for the Lego aswell so you don't have too look up when you register sets you will have a list anyway so you can also look their I'm sure, I would say keep doing the right thing with your Lego too organise them likes that's but maybe get deeper draws and for little bits use the table top draws as you can place them on shelves they'll work better then those slim line ones good luck from Julie

    Where did you get the small clear containers from? I'm using various sizes of Ikea Nojig containers but they're not the best use of space.

    So I've got a question....... WHY?
    I understand it from a neurodiverse perspective, but your unlikely to ever need the instruction book again.
    You have online manuals and even if you want to keep old manuals your taking up a lot of precious space using a filing cabinet. Put them in a box, chuck them in the loft and forget about them.

    • @Luuka988
      @Luuka988 2 месяца назад +2

      I came to the comments to ask exactly the same thing. Recycle the paper, use online instructions and have some more space for parts :)

    • @ewanhorsley2474
      @ewanhorsley2474 2 месяца назад +1

      mainly because if he ever decides to resell sets their value is massively higher with instructions included so keeping them in good condition is useful. Also i think he mentioned before that he tried using online instructions and hated it so i guess keeping them safe and accessible makes sense too

    For a hobby this is looking like far too much effort and work for my liking. Think i shall avoid doing a city but just have a wall display in my man cave.
