That was quite a journey! Hope you didn't get seated next to the guy with the enormous back pack on the plane!! Have you extended your contract in Guernsey again as I seem to remember you were only going to be there until July?
@@helloantoniotraveladventures I'm sure your employers will appreciate your extended stay, especially given the difficulties recruiting people to work in Guernsey. It's such a lovely and welcoming place to be too. Sadly we only get to go to Guernsey on holiday but I always feel at home there despite living only a relatively short hop away on another island i.e. the Isle of Wight!
Amazing that petrol is up to 20p a litre more expensive in Guernsey, particularly considering there is no VAT there. I suppose the petrol stations run a bit of a monopoly. Not planning on going to Jersey? I'm sure you'd love it there, stop listening to all those anti-Jersey Guernsiais.... lol.... Did the jetlag eventually catch up with you, it tends to be worse travelling east than travelling west.
I know right!? I actually do want to go to Jersey at some point now... I heard there's a Nigel Mansell museum there! The jet lag was really strange, i actually ended up getting straight back into the timezone thanks to not sleeping overnight. In fact I had to get a cab home from my mate's at about 9pm on liberation day the following day as I was falling asleep, and that's like... 3pm Chicago time!?
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Liberation Day? I just googled Guernsey Liberation Day.... May 9th, blimey that was four months ago. Editing evidently takes a long time. Well done for keeping us entertained!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures I just realised I was there in May 1988 (helping deal with the aftermath of the October 1987 hurricane) but somehow don't remember Liberation Day. The 9th was a Monday so maybe I was back in London enjoying that long weekend and missed all the festivities in Guernsey.
Good to see you back sir!! Boarding group 9 !!
Only the most exclusive boarding group for me!
@@helloantoniotraveladventuresI used to drink in the Elsted Inn near South Harting!!😅
No way! Pretty part of the world

Yes, I'm in Guernsey until at least next July now! Managed to avoid the big backpack on the plane...

Yes, I've been very slow with uploading lately. My day job is a bit more demanding now!

Quite likely, it wouldn't have been a working day here! Sure you missed out on a good meat draw and karaoke
