I keep re watching this 😭 I love arc 7 and this is so great. Also somehow you captured the chaos flame phase better than anyone else in the art(including Otsuka lmao light novel illustrations have limits though but it's true). Somehow him just clinging to Louis in the middle of his bodies and skipping to Satella's arrival is more chilling??? I hope they do that sort of thing in the anime years away now. It shows how even with uncountable deaths, there was a lot more meaning to the Olbart fight than Subaru dying in gruesome ways, I've seen many claim re zero descended into torture porn here and ironically also claim it's lost all stakes later, but that fight so fundamentally changed him that I'm still worried about it even at arc 8 two volumes in. The way he ends up so thankful to Louis from it makes perfect sense and is the perfect plot development to happen while ramping up suffering times 1000. I think I keep rewatching because of that bit especially, it's really clever??? How have I never seen someone focus on parts of that phase other than exploding eyes and uncounted deaths before... Oof when they animate it it'll be great when he starts referring to dozens of other people he knows for solutions as well. Ending with Shaula... I fucking love that phase(also gladiator Island I will fight anyone who thinks Hiain Idra and Weitz should have died).
I' might create another one starting at Christmas break or next summer break because my class starts next week and I need my eyes rest as it gets damaged over the past three weeks of making this. anyways, thanks for watching! Sadly people do not like arc 7 as it should as it went on but it’s definitely top 3 if we count that 8 is 7.5.
