Could anyone explain why this officer was taken by EMS to Moses Cone (25 minutes away) versus taking him to Novant Hospital (5 minutes away) This loss is very sad, however if he was taken to the closet hospital, he may have survived and been able to be air lifted to Duke or Baptist for critical care.
Moses cone is the closest Trauma Center. I am not familiar with the other hospital you mentioned. Is it a Trauma center? I believe the closest 2 trauma centers to that location are Moses Cone in Greensboro and Wake Forest in Winston Salem. I believe the closest by miles and time is Moses Cone.
