So, I've been thinking on expanding this series, and maybe doing a video on each individual ink, and really put each one through it's paces. Is there anything in particular you guys would like to try with them?
I know you asked 5 months ago, but I would be interested in seeing lightfastness tests and if they affect the flow of watercolors (some inks cause haloing because they either repel the water or the pigment.)
Higgins Eternal is technically fountain pen ink, or can be used in them. They do offer a waterproof ink made with carbon such as their "Black India" and "Black Magic" brands.
@@judichristopher4604 The ones I cited are Higgins branded inks. www.higginsinks.com/ I've also used Dr. Ph. Martin's Black Star and Speedball, though I don't tend to like shellac-based inks. www.docmartins.com/ www.speedballart.com/
If you go back and do an erasing test or if you do end up making Part II, it might be fun to also do a test of how the ink goes on _over_ the coloured pencils or other media. TFS!
I could probably do something like that. Besides erasing and color pencil, what other sorts of media did you have in mind? Or anyone else who comes across thia comment?
Great comparison! Do you have any suggestions for a flexible, waterproof ink that might hold-up in the sun (ie. UV resistant to fading)? I want to bring some black color back to a small patio table cover that's faded. :)
I think the yatsu tamasumi ink is the blackeste of all. I am not sure. Now i am doubting between that ink and the speedball india ink witch one to choose
This is a great video... Very informative... I agree with your choice. Thank you for sharing this video... Please NOTE: The Background music was too loud and made it hard to hear you and it was unnecessary. We just want to HEAR YOU Talk.
Thank you! I'm really thrilled with the response to this, I definitely wanna do more videos like this one in the future. I'm open to suggestion for other kinds of inks to try btw! Black ink is preferred, as it's what I've used most and know what to look for lol
@@KayBeast Perhaps a video on different tips and techniques on how to better use the ink with a brush? Maybe something on how to cover large areas affectively?
Just pens. None of the ink in this video is safe to put in your body. Using anything other than regulated, sterile tools designed for tattooing can be very dangerous. Safety first ♥

Wow babe, this certainly your niche. You should continue to do things like this, I bet the art community appreciates these kinds of videos.
I definitely wanna do more videos like this, it's just a matter of saving up enough money to get the stuff, lol.
love watching videos about ink. i have a bad habit of buying ink when i already have plenty. love using this medium
Same, lol. I'm always tempted to get more and then I'm like, "Karon! Use what you already have first!" Lol

Intro destroyed my ears
Nice video
Is the chinese one for Tattoos or are these just for pens ?

Thanks Hyd India
Would you say the Chinese ink is reery brack?
I really hope that was a typo, cause if not, not cool man.
Please, no more music. I have to fight the music to hear u. Jeez.
Great video, however that music is insipid and annoying. Fine for an intro/outro but it needs to stop when you're talking.
So helpful! Thanks for posting.
