  • Patients at Foothills Medical Centre (FMC) now have access to specialized, adaptive gaming to help with their rehabilitation and healing. 🎮
FMC is now the second G.A.M.E Checkpoint in Alberta. Patients with a range of neurological and physical challenges receive enhanced care through fun and therapeutic gaming opportunities. Gaming is the largest form of entertainment in the world and offers numerous clinical and social benefits. It helps patients relearn and refine motor skills and alleviates boredom and isolation.
The G.A.M.E Checkpoint was made possible thanks to funding from the Calgary Health Foundation, and support from Neil Squire’s Makers Making Change Program., who provided adaptive equipment and training.
