Having seen the clips and teasers on RUclips, it still seems like it is not. Colin found out on his own when nobody else knew even before proposing to her. It was Cressida who threatened to expose her AFTER them getting married. And forgive me but Eloise in the show is absolutely INSUFFERABLE..... The timeline is changed. In my very humble opinion, the show cannot hold a candle to the books. The visuals and the cast aside, the writers of the show have done a disservice to the stories.
I honestly think it would be so juicy if they don’t. First the first time someone will put Penelope first… also the Bridgerton family is as thick as thieves but I do think in the very end if it comes down to it Colin will choose Pen over anyone, even his own sister which I think will cause an interesting dynamic shift in the Bridgerton family…
I hope they don't Eloise is a snobby selfish brat. Has she paid attention to her besty Pen for 5 minute the last 2 seasons it's it rather than odd she's ALWAYS writing a going through paper and reading and seems to be everywhere and nowhere🧐🧐 literally no other lady her age and statue do that...

I kind of dislike it now when a show puts someone in a lose-lose situation. 1. Because I'd hate to be in that type of situation myself, but also 2. You feel for the characters that are in them. Penelope must choose between love, happiness, and security with Colin, and keeping Lady Whistledown, her passion project she's had for years. And unlike the books, with the threat of Queen Charlotte, one option puts her in a lot more danger. This should be an interesting 2nd half of the season. 😎🍿
it depends on what the queen will do. i thinkk Penelope could be able to make her forgive her/not punish her Charlote isn't heartless, and Penelope's life was pretty damn depressing until S3 - her parents ignored her, her sisters bullied her, the whole ton saw her a joke... maybe Charlote will be like "okay, i get it. but don't do it again" or more like "keep it up", something like George's mother and young Lady Danbury - "fighting" so Charlote is entertained, since Whistledown was one of the few things that could bring her any excitment
I honestly feel bad for eloise, she has shown a lot grace in the first part of s3 because she undeniably still loves and cares for pen but colin is her brother. She may have been able to not tell him anything before but now that he is engaged to penelope there is simply no way to hide that from him. She does not want him to be tricked or lied to which is something he may not realise in his actual state of ignorance
Wait until he finds out why she did it. To protect them both. So Eloise wouldn't lose her head cause she wasn't Lady Whistledown and the Queen thought she was. So Collin wasn't trapped in a marriage.

I hope they change things with Eloise. I love Eloise, and she has every right to be hurt and want to tell Colin the truth. But everything she is doing now just seems so malicious. I liked Cressida taking her down a peg or two. What she did was wrong and just as hurtful to Pen and her reputation. I like that she is slowly being educated that not every family is as loving and supportive as hers. I feel her walls are to high and she fails to understand what true lack of options are. I look forward to someone (I think Cressida) spelling it out to her. It is a lesson I feel she needs to learn.
The apology scene to Pen showed a such good growth on El’s part. Her and Pen look at each other so longingly. I miss their friendship. But, I really want Pen to be angry even if she’s partly in the wrong. She’s been in love with Colin forever yet no one noticed? Not even El? And she’s gone unheard for so long, I want El to acknowledge that. It was interesting to see in Ep 4 that Eloise wasn’t being listened to about her ideas by Cressida, it’s a sharp contrast between her and Pen’s relationship. Eloise seems to have gotten better at listening, but it’s still a little hard to stomach that she didn’t fully realize how bad Pen’s home life is. I love El but she can be so dense. Also, I don’t know how both friendships can exist at the same time.

Yes and no. Yes both have secrets they need to share to Colin but the difference is is that one genuinely loves Colin and is afraid to lose him while the other only wanted him for his connections and the influence he had to offer.
If I ly Eloise knew how much LW's writing have saved her family. Daphne from marrying Lord Berbrooke, Colin from being deceived by Marina, and Eloise herself from being arrested by the Queen.
The setting in the book is much much better😢 They are my favorite couple during the whole family and the book too. I'm a bit disappointed the way that they change in the drama.

I feel like we got robbed this time with part I. Way too much on the Mondriches, Cressida and Eloise and even Francesca, although the latter two are Bridgertons. Colin only realizing he had feeling for Pen after kissing her, after she begged for it, was a bit disappointing. It's like he always loved her personality, but never made a move because he didn't see any sexual compatibilty until after the kiss. It isn't that unlikely, men can be like that, but Pen deserved more, better. She also gave in too quickly imo.

The scene with Penelope asking to be kissed was pretty much lifted right out of the book, but because that scene was originally told from Colin's perspective, it doesn't carry quite as much weight in the show IMO. In the book Colin is having an internal crisis the entire scene, and even before she asked him to kiss her, he had begun to notice her more and more. I do agree that way too much time was spent on side characters, though. These seasons aren't long enough to flesh out every single character at the same time. Compared to season 1's leads, I do feel Colin and Pen were robbed just a touch.

Spoiler Alert to those who have not read the books! I don’t think this will be the case. It may be likely that towards the end of season, we may get news of Francesca’s loss and then it will lead into her story. I do wonder how they will frame her’s and Eloise’s stories though. It is possible that they may run partially in parallel to maintain the correct times. We will see I guess. I’m just going to continue enjoying the good fun till then.
From episode 3-4 of season 3 the emotions that unfolded, through Colin's proposal, I never thought once about Penelope being Whistledown. Let alone she has to tell him. And, how the truth will expose, not only his friendship with her but his love. Colin has remaked, in the past how clever Penelope is.
I hope Penelope sticks up to Eloise a bit during that exchange. My immediate reaction was that Pen had completely given up on Colin ever reciprocating her feelings, and had been trying to move on from him, only for him to suddenly propose to her out of the blue. I've seen some people comparing Penelope to Marina in this regard and I just don't agree. Marina was intentionally deceiving Colin out of self preservation; Pen never meant to deceive him in this way at all.
Just for the same reason Penelope didn’t want Marina to marry Colin bc Colin himself didn’t know the truth. Now, that’s Penelope against the wall with the same situation. You guys are fine? 👀
I think there was way too many spoilers on RUclips and it was like I had already watched season 3 by the time it aired just because of so many scenes on RUclips.
As we can all see, part two is definitely going to be very challenging and we’re gonna see a lot of peoples truth colours come out especially because of this reward money for LW. It’s quite obvious. Eloise is trying with pen to be cordial. However I don’t think Eloise has understand that if LW is exposed, not only is pen out in the open but you’re putting her at risk of being completely outcasted. This was her identity when everybody including you could not see her for who she was someone asking for a little kindness, a little support to shine. It’s going to be very interesting to see if Collins will stick by her if he finds out or walk away, confirming what pen already knew. But I think one thing is clear LW challenged the Queen, and she absolutely loved each and every one of those challenges. I think outing LW it’s her way of saying check mate I won.
I don't understand the hatred towards Éloïse. She did not betray Penelope's secret and she remains very kind to her for the first four episodes despite being hurt and having distanced herself. Apart from the fact that she stupidly spoke too loudly about the lessons Penelope had with Colin but she didn't do it on purpose and she apologized. Colin is her brother and she has absolutely the right to yell at Penelope by telling her that she has to tell him her secret. She offers her the opportunity to do it herself, which seems fair and very mature to me. Penelope must not marry Colin before telling him her secret. I really like Penelope but if she doesn't tell him before the wedding she's a bitch.

guys i know its too early to make a judgment but did anyone else feel like season 4 might be francesca’s ?? like idk but something been telling me that not only are they gonna skip benedict again and also perhaps eloise now.. but they might not even finish all 8 siblings stories 🥲 (which im praying to be just me being absolutely mistaken)

Spoiler Alert to those who have not read the books! I don’t think this will be the case. It may be likely that towards the end of season, we may get news of Francesca’s loss and then it will lead into her story. I do wonder how they will frame her’s and Eloise’s stories though. It is possible that they may run partially in parallel to maintain the correct times. We will see I guess. I’m just going to continue enjoying the good fun till then.

From episode 3-4 of season 3 the emotions that unfolded, through Colin's proposal, I never thought once about Penelope being Whistledown.
Let alone she has to tell him. And, how the truth will expose, not only his friendship with her but his love.
Colin has remaked, in the past how clever Penelope is.
I hope Penelope sticks up to Eloise a bit during that exchange. My immediate reaction was that Pen had completely given up on Colin ever reciprocating her feelings, and had been trying to move on from him, only for him to suddenly propose to her out of the blue. I've seen some people comparing Penelope to Marina in this regard and I just don't agree. Marina was intentionally deceiving Colin out of self preservation; Pen never meant to deceive him in this way at all.

As we can all see, part two is definitely going to be very challenging and we’re gonna see a lot of peoples truth colours come out especially because of this reward money for LW. It’s quite obvious. Eloise is trying with pen to be cordial. However I don’t think Eloise has understand that if LW is exposed, not only is pen out in the open but you’re putting her at risk of being completely outcasted. This was her identity when everybody including you could not see her for who she was someone asking for a little kindness, a little support to shine. It’s going to be very interesting to see if Collins will stick by her if he finds out or walk away, confirming what pen already knew. But I think one thing is clear LW challenged the Queen, and she absolutely loved each and every one of those challenges. I think outing LW it’s her way of saying check mate I won.

I don't understand the hatred towards Éloïse. She did not betray Penelope's secret and she remains very kind to her for the first four episodes despite being hurt and having distanced herself. Apart from the fact that she stupidly spoke too loudly about the lessons Penelope had with Colin but she didn't do it on purpose and she apologized.
Colin is her brother and she has absolutely the right to yell at Penelope by telling her that she has to tell him her secret. She offers her the opportunity to do it herself, which seems fair and very mature to me.
Penelope must not marry Colin before telling him her secret. I really like Penelope but if she doesn't tell him before the wedding she's a bitch.

@@ahall1988 my conspiracy theory is that (I might give extreme spoilers if you haven't read the book, I'm so sorry) she tells Colin as soon they become engaged and announce to everyone, like she does with Whistledown night/midnight issue at their engagement party. She doesn't do it on purpose but decides she has to tell him right away, and then he reacts a certain way and then drags her to his room.
