Not sure if Delos needs a new one. They've been upgrading the boat over the last several years. The hull and important parts are very sound. Delos is 17 years old and still going strong. Best advertisement for any boat.
Damn I love Amel they make the best sailboat around in my opinion and to think I would know nothing about Amel if it weren't for the best RUclipsrs on RUclips witch we probably all Know as sv Delos and crew they're the best.
Great update for the Amel. As with most of the more-recent boats, these sailboats seems too "clinical", too clean. Not enough traditional woodwork for our taste, but much more traditional than previous versions.
Bad video taking. Too much talking instead of video of the boat. Too much use of closeup and no details about controls, navigation gear, anchor davit, sails atc.
If it wasn’t for the rolling, the much smaller interior, the deeper draft I’d chose mono but because of the above I’ll get a cat plus the redundancy of having two engines.

Seems all the other brands have aft helms and 30' of bimini tops, Amel has a cockpit, thats blue water comfort and safety...
I think the main mast is over 60ft. The 55 has an air clearance of just under 70ft

Engine room on the Amel 50 seems bigger.
A question for Amel is the steering hydraulic. Or is it mechanical. If it’s hydraulic can you locate a second helm outside behind the cockpit.

When you put handrails on the cabin ceiling of your boat they will be to high for me to reach lol.
Be happy about that. I hit my head onto the ceiling. If you are 6'5"and above it's almost impossible to find a good boat.
