✈️ Then it's time to head to the airport for a travel day!
✈️ We try out Chef Gordon Ramsey restaurant, and shop around harrods at Heathrow Airport
✈️ Then it's time to Board our flight with British airways to Toronto!

The fact that you made Yonge Dundas Square look that good is amazing, even with the Stag Shop IN FRAME. I'm impressed, because whenever I go there there's always someone screaming about hellfire and damnation, and if I'm lucky, Spiderman is scaling the traffic lights. I wish I were joking. Your hotel made a solid choice though, Joeys is FANTASTIC. I REALLY hope your first poutine didn't end up being from Smokes. I'm looking forward to this series!

I used to live in Canada in Drayton valley it was about a few hours from Banff and we used to drive and stay there for mini trips and the views were amazing, the blue lakes and mountains 😍

Yay, this was so cute to watch! I’m glad Union Station construction is done, makes TO feel like such a world class city now that it’s fully open and fixed up. If you ever come visit again we should meet up so I can give you a tour of all the amazing “holes in the wall” that Toronto has to explore. Honestly, you could easily fill a whole week of experiences and neighbourhoods to explore. Looking forward to watching the rest of the series ❤

Very interested to see how you like Canada! I grew up in Ontario but now live in British Columbia, and your Toronto street shots made me a bit homesick! If you ever come back to Canada I highly recommend coming out to Vancouver and if you can, swing by Halifax! They both have such different sides of Canada, and then you can say you went to both coasts haha!

Oh please come to British Columbia next time around! The Greater Vancouver Area is a mix of laid back west coast living, outdoor mountain adventures and city life. Essentially all the things you're doing on your current trip but blended into one area! Spring, summer and fall are all great times to visit. :)

This is far different from the Toronto I lived in back in 1955. I can't imagine what it will be like in another 60 odd years.
Just in case you want to buy things while you are over there and then need to get a suitcase and can't add it in to your flight home, I used mybaggage to ship a suitcase back from Japan and it only took about 3/4 days. Hope you have a great time.

Flights within Canada are insanely more expensive than other places. It's why we normally travel outside of the country,
It’s crazy! I wonder why that is?! Although it’s similar in the UK tbh! Our trains here are disgustingly expensive! 🥲
@@catherinekayy It's because of our laws that companies have to be Canadian-owned for the most part. It cuts down on the competition and therefore the higher prices. Basically it's mean that so that we can't be owned by the US.

It's cool to see Toronto through your eyes! I live in Ottawa, and much of my family lives in Toronto, so I'm there fairly often. I don't usually go to the very touristy spots because of social anxiety (which is why I don't really like Toronto, even though I've spent more time there than any other city other than Ottawa) but there is a lot of awesomeness sprinkled around the city! Can't wait to see the west coast! I've actually never been, I should probably go at some point. Maybe my brother will take me along on an epic road trip :)

I've been looking forward to these vlogs, I am fortunate enough to have a cousin who lives in Ajax, it's about an hours drive from Toronto, and I have been able to visit her 6 times over the last 30 years, I absolutely love the place and the people are fantastic!

(I love their vegetarian burger!!). So happy too that you are heading to Banff. It's amazing and where hubby and I spent our honeymoon way back in 1980. Loving this to get my fix of Toronto after spending a week at xmas 2022 at the fairmont royal York. The best hotel we have ever stayed in especially at Xmas with all the decorations and life size gingerbread house decorations

@@catherinekayy yes stayed there for 5 nights before we went on the Amtrak train to New York for a week over Xmas 2022. It was an amazing time there as we have stayed at the fairmont Copley plaza in Boston Xmas 2019 and loved it x

We were only in Calgary for a tiny bit! 🥹😭😭😭 to pick up the car so we didn’t have time unfortunately!
I fly from New York to Orlando and will always spend more to fly comfortably rather than try and save a buck on flights LOL. If I want to save money, I take other things into consideration instead 😄 Flying is horrible these days, with tighter seating and packed cabins.

Vancouver and its surrounding area is super pretty as well, if you ever want to come back! Lots of great food and beautiful weather.
