  • I met with the surgeon who will be performing my cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) to rid me of my Lemtrada induced Acute Acalculous Cholecystitis. She gave me the go ahead for the surgery so now I'm just waiting for the hospital to give me my date!

dear Mallery, about 9 years ago I had my cholecystectomy, because of severe pain attacks I suffered from for months as you do now. Before they admitted me to the hospital I had to go through several tests, blood work and colonscopy and a stomach reflection, just to make sure there are no varicous veins that could be hurt during the surgery. The surgery itself was minimal invasive and there are only three small cuts on my torso. Healing was easy. But, what makes me wonder: why are you up to eat fat free? I know, that there could be some foods and ingredients that you cannot digest well after surgery, without the gallbladder, but I think you avoid those anyway. I would not stress yourself with this strict diet. n my oppinion that doesn't make much sense. And as MSers we should avoid stress anyway, shouldn't we? Cross my fingers for you! thinking of you! love, Britta
