Thank you Michael for being the only RUclips golfer who demos and compares the Rogue Max ST to other drivers instead of the triple💎 & LS. They’re not looking at the average golfer like you and one other RUclipsr do.
Would be great 😊 If you could do head to head comparisons between the 2021 Epic drivers & the new Rogues, that would be awesome.
I tried the Rogue LS against my Epic LS & Epic beat it.
I also bought the Rogue Max because it out performed the Epic Max by leaps and bounds.
The Epic Max LS is only 3-5 yds longer than the Rogue Max but the Max is a better fairway finder. Both shafts are XS, with a green dot optifit set to 8.5* & avg carry is 260-270.
    I’m a 66yo golfer with a 7hdcp & 105-108 SS. I find the sweet spot in both frequently & love them both.
Again, thank you for your awesome content.

I just got a LTDx LS and love it. I disagree when you say feel is harsh on Cobra. I understand everybody is different but to me it's one of the best feelings drivers out there and it's super forgiving. One thing I noticed with other reviewers is that most can't hit the sweet spot but the ball still flies a mile and beats their competition.

I picked up the Speedzone driver last year and love it, but it does have a harder sound at impact than a few other high end drivers. Ball rockets off the face though

It's funny comparing the looks of these 2 drivers - 1:34 in video. To me they look almost identical, except the Cobra has 2 tiny raised "fins." And who cares what this side or bottom looks like - you never see that anyway. But both great drivers regardless. ⛳ ⛳ 🏌‍♀ 🏌‍♂

Went for my fitting last week wanting the cobra but soon changed my mind after hitting the rogue max d. Didn't get the numbers from any of the cobra models and i actually preferred the look and sound from the cally st. Paired the rogue max d with the tensei mmt 60 stiff shaft

Value wise, the Cobra Speedzone was for me. Bought it direct from Cobra last year. Only $299 and it's pretty equal to me in perfomance as the Sim2 and Epic which were $499. I do agree that there is a harder sound coming off the Infinity face vs the Sim2 and Epic

  • @walterwinstanley8502

Both drivers are clearly excellent, but it would be interesting to see a comparison with shorter than standard shaft lengths, (45” for example) as I think this would probably show no loss of distance and even better control. Callaway have offered this option in the past and for the average golfer, I think that 47.75” in the Callaway is arguably too long and of no real benefit.

Cobra driver's are far better than anything in the market. Their innovation surpasses any other company. The face of the cobra ltdx has 15 different thicknesses of metal so off center hits still go straight and far try that with the Callaway bye bye ball. I will say I was disappointed in the looks the speedzone and radspeed even the f9 speedback we're great looking clubs the best looking in the market. The ltdx leaves a lot to be desired in the way of looks

  • @BirdiesandBitcoin

@@MichaelNewtonGolf you were more centered with the rogue with higher smash factors while the Cobra hits were more on the side axis with lower smash factors. Granted you didn't show them all so it could have just been the ones shown. Personally I look for the difference on smash factors below 145 as I find that more indicative of the 10+ handicap golfer.

    Hi,
On my SIM 2 max driver,I tend to hit it slightly right by about 5-7yards off line.i have it set at 10.5,what would I have to do to the slave to bring it more to the left?

    • @MichaelNewtonGolf
      @MichaelNewtonGolf  2 года назад +3

Is the actual loft of the head 10.5? If so then move the neck sleeve to the upright position which keeps it at 10.5 but makes the lie more upright. Helps to reduce the right shot

I went for a fitting yesterday expecting to walk out with the Rogue ST, but the stats just weren’t there for me.
The fitter then put me in the LTDx with the Tensei White 65 shaft and there was a significant jump in performance. Consistently around 2200 spin with 160mph ball speed so exactly where I want them. I’m “trading up” from my current driver, the F9, so definitely an element of familiarity too. It’s not the nicest looking sole of a driver, but looks superb sitting behind the ball. I was also able to walk out of the pro shop with it on the day, so can’t wait to try it on the course soon.
