Getting to see these guys live is one of 6 things on my bucket list. It’s become a running joke that they wont ever release another album, but in all honesty, I don’t need one. If I get to experience this in person, I can die happy.
Whoever captured this did a pretty job getting a pretty decent recording of the sound, considering the volume, including the crazy white noise section portion they're famous for doing during this song/finale. Great way to test if my inner earplugs to protect me while maintaining the full sound work (they do). I had tinnitus I was fortunate enough to have go away and I'm not risking that again - it was hell. Kevin himself has it and has said he eventually learned to cope with it by calling it his "friend", but tinnitus is no joke - lots of musicians from this era got _serious_ tinnitus from being pretty careless with the volumes they exposed their ears to, and some didn't make it out: the drummer for the band "Inspiral Carpets" killed himself after suffering for 20 years with it (he cited it as the primary reason in his note). He left a wife of many years behind.
@@henriqueyoh Earplugs are good enough to protect your ears from gunshots, which are hundreds of times louder than even the loudest concerts ever performed.
7 and a half mfin minutes of this. incredible. i want to experience this. my literal one "gripe" (so minor as to be irrelevant, on the whole) is that The Body don't really have songs like this. they could easily come close to matching this if they did.

I'm pretty sure they wear earplugs on stage now.
@@blib3786 Ah, makes sense.
@@blib3786 naive of you to think earplugs can do something to that blast of a sound

Standing here, I realize.
Is Kevin playing a J Mascis Jazzmaster?
he only has like 20 or so of them. he literally has one for each song they do live because each song is tuned differently.
White, Pink, Brown, or Jet?
