This was a fantastic piece to put everything into perspective. We are small indeed, but this was a very wonderful project. Thanks for your time and creativity!
Hate to burst your bubble but most if not all the stars after Pollux are impossible for planet formation due to how massive they formed and the fact they'd most certainly blow away their proto planetary disk.
It's just unreal how somebody could know such information and it's pretty hard to remember all the stars thank you friend for sharing such valuable information with us
I love videos like this. If this doesn't spark your imagination you likely don't have one. After all the BS posted everywhere it's nice to drop in on a simple well made clip.
I love that you made Uranus rotate on its side, but sad is that Venus does not turn other way than the other planets, which it does in reality. But no reason to delete the video! I SO enjoyed it. Thank you this much!
A cím az, hogy kicsik vagyunk, nincs mondanivaló. Ez egyszerűen csak egy videó, amit kíváncsi voltam, hogy meg tudok-e csinálni. Ha nem tetszik, nem kell megnézned többször.
Hey, Kiss Peter, please don't take this vid down despite all the crap people have been talking about. It's the only thing that makes the space look cool again.
I watched this ever since I was a child, and since then many things have changed, first off, Betelgeuse is bigger than Antares, next, VV Cephei A is smaller than both VY Canis Majoris, and UY Scuti, but I won’t complain, this video is from 2010!
@TheVader357 Thank you so much for being the 3rd person to correct me; and after 6 months! I don't know where I would be without assistance such as yours.
May I suggest, try starting from Plank length to Arus Majoris (I know I wrote the 1st part wrong) The biggest star known, I was expecting it here. Regardless, I LOVED this vid man :D
I was referring to the largest star discovered. I wrote it wrong, in the comment I wrote I knew I wrote it wrong, in the comment I pointed out that it was written wrong, you should know it's spelled wrong, genius. The video lacked vy canis majoris.
Hmm, now that's interesting, didn't know. I based myself on a Discovery documentary clip that by then it seemed that it was the largest yet. fyi, it's not a contest tho I thank you kindly for the update, genius.
Its funny that people arent realizing this video was made 4 years, a lot has changed in the past 4 years. So dont go getting your panties in a bunch with the current biggest, even the current might not be the biggest in a month or a year from now.
@Drydareelin "...astronomers determined that Sirius B has nearly the diameter of the Earth, 12,000 kilometers (7,500 mi), with a mass that is 98% of the Sun..." Quoted from Wikipedia. Sirius B is smaller than Earth, just like this video depicted. Antares is larger than Betelgeuse. -Google Images "Star Sizes"
Wikipedia about VY CMa: "If placed at the center of the Solar System, VY Canis Majoris's surface would extend beyond the orbit of Jupiter although there is still considerable variation in estimates of the radius, with some making it larger than the orbit of Saturn." still like our sun. ;)
Although a few mistakes Sirius B is bigger than Jupiter Saturn's diameter is 120,812km OGLE-TR-122b is the smallest star found Betelgeuse is bigger than Antares This was made last year though :D SO i take that into account but I still love the video. Good job
You also missed Haumea, Pistol Star and Mu Cephei, and from the majority of what I heard, I think you are measuring the smallest of the planets and stars diameters, which doesn't amaze me as much.
@SmallBoyzzz Different gas elements have different chemical reactions when burning, therefore different colors. Like those little packets of sand that you throw into a fire and it makes red flames, or blue flames, or purple, etc.
Woah, I remember watching this when I was young! How nostalgic! Time flies.
The end part, the camera is not moving faster. It is at the same distance, merely magnifying and moving at same speed .
Exactly :)
@@sieroy88 Thx
Very nice video! Cool ambient music, and very good presentation.
I came back to see this nostalgic vid
This was a fantastic piece to put everything into perspective. We are small indeed, but this was a very wonderful project. Thanks for your time and creativity!
This would now be in my top 10 most nostalgic things list by 2024
you can't "forget" a star out of a star size comparison, because there's billions of stars in the universe, so only few can be used
I remember watching this when I was younger
Yeah! Same.
Without getting all wrapped up in the astronomical aspects of your production, your video is quite nice - Loved the Music.
How exotic the worlds around some of those lager stars would be!!!
Thanks for the upload, buddy. :)
Hate to burst your bubble but most if not all the stars after Pollux are impossible for planet formation due to how massive they formed and the fact they'd most certainly blow away their proto planetary disk.
Very nicely done, love the music too. Should be shown in all Astronomy courses just to make the point about perspective!
Aweaome concept and video. Well done.
I really enjoyed this video, it was very lulling. nice effects
How nostalgic, I saw this video when I was 6 years old, now I'm 13;)
Same
WOW!! very awesome my friend! is increble!!
It's just unreal how somebody could know such information and it's pretty hard to remember all the stars thank you friend for sharing such valuable information with us
That is just mind blowing, and to imagine God created all of that.... We are less than dirt in comparison to Him.
I love videos like this. If this doesn't spark your imagination you likely don't have one. After all the BS posted everywhere it's nice to drop in on a simple well made clip.
Excellent comparison (and the music)
@ Dexter Morgan
Not quite... Neptune is about 4,500,000,000 km from the Sun, and that's a radius. The value for the star is probably a diameter.
This was an excellent video. Now please, make another one going inside to smaller things, from a water drop all the way down to atoms and quartz =).
very cool. i am about to like the video.
I like the atmospheric glows around the planets
Rayleigh scattering definitely makes planets better.
I love how people describes this as nostalgic because they are!!
Hi hyping
Why is Eris red?It supposed to be whire
I mean white
Eris is purple.
You are confounding it with the galaxy !
Cool 3D!
Nice color to the Pistol Star. Altough not atualized, still a great vid.
Congratulations !
Its now official

VY Canis Majoris is the biggest :) but it's good! Good vid I learned many things :)
Good video
Been looking for this video for years
yes We are very small... one of a kind thank god for that
I love that you made Uranus rotate on its side, but sad is that Venus does not turn other way than the other planets, which it does in reality.

I SO enjoyed it. Thank you this much!
this video is really awesome
thank you for this informative video. i love it - though not as much as yongseung does!! and yes, we're indeed verivery small (pun fully intended)
Oh shit. I remember this video. I watched it when i was kindergartden
I haven't seen Makemake in other videos but now it is the first time that I get to see it and the size of it :D
I like it
this is awsome
Great idea man :) I will do it if I have time :)
0:20 Why is Eris red
Couldn't thijnk of texture
Your video is good, and also its 3d!
It's funny that most people don't even realize that there are actually more things smaller than us than bigger than us.
0:15 - 0:20 Pluto looks like Jupiter's moon Ganymede.
Yeah it does but actually its supposed to be brown

where do you make this video, its awesome!!!
Hey, Kiss Peter, please don't take this vid down despite all the crap people have been talking about. It's the only thing that makes the space look cool again.
Leo Huang thank you very much :)
@1josia Okay. 4th person to correct me..I somehow think that I have discovered my mistake by now; but I guess the extra-additional assistance helps.
What did u make this with??
Ceres and Pluto are wrong, Arcturus should be a bit bigger, the Pistol star isn't deep blue, but the rest seems great!
I watched this ever since I was a child, and since then many things have changed, first off, Betelgeuse is bigger than Antares, next, VV Cephei A is smaller than both VY Canis Majoris, and UY Scuti, but I won’t complain, this video is from 2010!

SILVERSTATICC the largest star is UY Scuti not Canis Majoris, 2bad4u

Stfu,that’s not funny at all!!!
Now this video is almost a decade old. And this comment still makes sense.
Nagyon tetszik a videó, főleg hogy az átmérőket is odairtad gratulálok a videóhoz :D
Wow, I never knew Stars could be so small :o
I thought all Stars were mostly the size of our sun..
Nice!! But what about VY Canis Majoris?
May I take this video?
and can I modify?
@sieroy88 Ah okay :D What did you use to make it with? ^_^
the first time i saw this video when i was 6 years old now i'm 13 years old

what the hell was yongseung doing writing a thesis about this at 12 years old 😭
You Don’t Know His Age.
nice colors and blur efect bro, diameters etc, but where is VY canis majoris??
VY CANIS MAJORIS!!!
THIS WAS MADE 2010
VY CANIS MAJORIS WAS DISCOVERED BEFORE 2010

Oh how fun for someone replying to a early 2016 comment.

Although a few mistakes
Sirius B is bigger than Jupiter
Saturn's diameter is 120,812km
OGLE-TR-122b is the smallest star found
Betelgeuse is bigger than Antares

How did I get from HungerGames videos to this? Still very kool tho.
CERES Turns Around Moves When Mars Spins And Jupiter Moves Around On Universe

Pistol Star is in the video
What font did you use?
Guys this video was made 3 years ago...
Nice cool vid,but why is eris red?
You got that right!
that is a understatement
There are more than 19 stars discovered larger than VV Cephei A and the largest is Quasi star
TheAnonymousUchiha 2504 This was made in 2010. Not 2018. People didn’t know back then.
Nolmart Maridor Gimeno I'm sorry. My younger brother wrote it impulsively
I mention to say... Where is VY Canus Magorus?
Nice video man, i always wanted to know the diameter of Canopus :D
I’m back 4 years later asking again for the name of the song...
