@Doctormix has called for a challenge: recreate a famous 80s synth riff in under 80 seconds on your Roland Fantom. Challenge accepted! This might not be the most sophisticated 80s song. But for sure it's a fun one :-)

Thank you! You are right, the original melody is a bit different. Anyway, I liked the energy on this take and decided to just go with it 🙂 As for the sounds, I only used presets on this one:
1. Drums: #80s POP Kit (Drum User Tone 0104)
2. Bass: Filter Env Bass (Model SH101 Tone 0034)
3. Guitar: HeavyMute/sw (Z-Core EXZ005 Tone 0010)
4. Synth Pad: Super Saw Key 1 (Z-Core PR-B Tone 0211)
5. Brass: R&R Bras SRX (Z-Core EXZ008 Tone 0230)
Hope this helps. Of course you can get closer to the original by customizing the sounds and adding more layers - but I wanted to stick with the 80 seconds 🙂

Wasn't this a cheap tune created for a TV commercial for some broke scientists?
Some consider it cheap, I would call it geniusly simple. 🙂 Love the contrast between the straight drum and bass groove and the rather funky guitar riff.
