I remember watching the Matt Amodio one. I loved his streak and I was so worried he would lose! But he killed it in double jeopardy! Love that guy! My favorite player

It always felt like Matt ended his run on his own terms.

      12/22/2024
I remember watching his last game (10/11/2021). It was kinda scary seeing him in 3rd going into final. But he won 38 games and over $1.5M (about a third of that went to various charities during the short guest host era).
Upon seeing there would be a Second Chance competition, I was rooting for Rowan Ward (8/13/2021) to win for the possibility of a rematch against Matt in the Tournament of Champions, and they did.
But Matt had a semifinal bye and Rowan lost to John Focht in the QF round.
He didn’t make it to the finals, but he did become one of the top three seeds in the TOC.
Then came Jeopardy! Masters. I had hoped we would see Matt compete on Primetime (initially The Chase b/c we didn’t know Masters would be a thing). But he got to compete against James Holzhauer, who inspired Matt’s gameplay style. He even beat James in one of the Masters games (James wagered everything and lost in FJ as far as I can remember)
Being a finalist with James Holzhauer and Mattea Roach, he got to compete on Masters again in May 2024. But he placed 6th
If Jeopardy Masters gets a 3rd season, they will most likely hold the Invitational Tournament again. If that happens we will probably see Matt on J! again. But only time will tell what happens

One of my favorite Jeopardy episodes was the 2nd day of the final of a High School tournament (I think - it might have been college). The first day top player had over 25,000, while another had stumbled horribly and was at 0. But on the second day, she came alive, roared back, and ended up winning with a total of 40,000-50,000 if I recall. In my mind, that was by far the top comeback in Jeopardy. It is disappointing it wasn't included here.

there was a comeback from a college student named Ryan (?) who was in 3rd but then ran the last 2 categories to finish in the lead. I was hoping it would be here.

11:42-That was the correct response that Diana North forgot to put a “G” in in the word “Waiting”, and that was apparently enough to deem it incorrect in the fall 2012 teachers tournament. That cost her a trip to the semi-finals, because had she added that letter, she would have had $17,600, which would have put her among the four wild-card qualifiers for the semi-finals.

It was nice to see "Jeopardy!" again with Alex Trebek 🤗 When Pluto tv canceled "Jeopardy!" I almost canceled them ( Un-installed), but they have "Midsomer Murders," and they have a Mute, which tubi often lacks (many Ads are just noise, and sum are Stupid, like the AHS with that woman from SNL)

Congratulations to all of the contestants who made this list! I'd like to add another episode to this list from Season 33, the 2017 Jeopardy Teachers Tournament, first Semi-final game. It includes two great players, Gail Ansheles and the late Sara Holub. At the time, the Executive Producer of Jeopardy said he thought it was the latest, greatest comeback in Jeopardy history. From $400 in the hole at the break to over $27,000 for the win. ruclips.net/video/vvVz-011hoQ/видео.html
