Actually is perfectly fine to wash mushrooms. It doesn’t change their texture like many people think.. I wash mine all the time and am still able to achieve color and a good sear.

@@chipsvr69nope.. they’re just wiping them with a damp paper towel because they think by washing them the mushrooms will absorb too much water and become mushy.

Nope, you're not supposed to wash mushrooms, they're like a sponge, they'll absorb the water and the texture will be effected. I don't have a brush like she used to I use a paper towel to brush off dirt

@@xWhereswaldo Some do not absorb water much but these you do rinse , put on towel right away and they don't absorb anything (or barely anything)

The spongebob burger with jelly reminded my of the concept of making simple sweet and sour meatballs. It's meatballs cooked in grape jelly and chili sauce.
Lemon Sole with Brown Butter, Parsley, and Cottage Cheese
Ingredients:
4 fresh lemon sole fillets (about 3 to 4 ounces each)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
6 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 3 lemons)
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1/2 cup cottage cheese (optional, for added creaminess)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) to keep the cooked fillets warm.
Combine the flour, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper in a large shallow plate.
Pat the sole fillets dry with paper towels and sprinkle one side with salt.
Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat until it starts to brown.
Dredge 2 sole fillets in the seasoned flour on both sides and place them in the hot butter.
Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for 2 minutes on each side.
While the second side cooks, add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon zest and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice to the pan.
Carefully transfer the fish fillets to ovenproof plates and pour the sauce over them.
Keep the cooked fillets warm in the oven while you repeat the process with the remaining 2 fillets.
When done, sprinkle with minced parsley and a dollop of cottage cheese.
Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful Lemon Sole!
Feel free to adjust the seasoning and lemon juice to your taste. Bon appétit! 🍽

I made bacon pancakes the other day because the song was suck in my head. I just put a whole cooked slice of bacon on a thin layer of pancake and then put some more batter on top to cover the bacon. it was so good and i don’t think i’ll ever eat pancakes the same way again

Mushrooms CAN be washed, this has been something debunked many many times... The amount of water that mushrooms take in from proper washing is so small that I promise you that you wont notice a different. Alton Brown has an extensive episode on mushroom from good eats covering it and other places have videos disproving all the myths around mushrooms that have developed over the years.
Please wash the shrooms.

I have no idea where you got the Simpson episode you were talking about, but those were two different episodes... there was never an episode where he was eating donuts instead of training for boxing. Maybe you saw an edited clip online... because that never happened in the Simpsons... the boxing episode was Moe (the bartender) trying to make money off of Homer because Homer has extra fluid around his brain that made it so getting punched in the head doesn't make him fall down. The other episode was a Halloween episode where Homer made a deal with the devil for a donut because he really wanted a donut, but then he realized that if he didn't finish the donut that the devil wouldn't actually get his soul. Then he ended up eating the last piece of donut, which caused the devil to try to collect his soul, but Lisa argued for a court hearing in which it was found out that he had already pledged his soul to Marge.
