The problem is that America relies heavily on the cheap labor of illegal immigrants. Their cheap labor is needed to keep the southern economy going when it comes to low skill labor needed on farms, landscaping, construction, roofing, house keeping, restaurants etc. All these politicians secretly love illegal immigrants because they know they can hire them for jobs and get the work done in half the time at half the cost. It's all political theater. The only one that suffer are the tax payers.

My family is an immigrant family. However, we went through a process that lasted about 5 years. Then, we got our appointment with immigration customs at the San Diego border. Stayed there for a week and went through interviews, physical exams, background checks etc...we were treated politely by immigration. Got our residency, and I clearly remember that one of the policies when becoming a legal USA resident is not to become a public burden to society, and within the first 5 years of us living in this country not to ask for public aid after those 5 years. My parents worked and put me through school, learned English, learned the culture without loosing my own. Graduated from university. And, I keep learning from this country, keep sharpening my English, keep paying my debts...that now seems harder even with a decent pay because of all the money that gets taken away from my check...it is not anti immigration...but the reality is that WE taxpayers WILL NOT take responsibilities for the incompente of others.

Screaming, yelling, pushing and shoving is not the same as coming in with proper documentation. They need to go through background checks and apply for their legal immigration just like anyone else. In fact, most of these people are looking for economic and lifestyle improvement. That in itself is a reasonable thing to do, but there is a legal way to gain entry. As a resident of suffolk county , the people in the crowd yelling do not speak for the majority of us. We do not have a problem with legal immigration, but as someone who struggles to make ends meet i refuse to see my tax dollars housing , feeding, and clothing, people whose first act in this country be breaking the law.

The legal Mexican immigrants I know have to take extreme measure to keep their identities from being stolen. They are constantly dealing with this. Some buissnes use illegal immigration for cheap slave labor. Here in Indiana a guy we knew had a roofing buissness. Most legal companies like his had to close because he has to pay out Healthcare, bonding, ect. He's watched these companies, workers fall off the roof and they just put them in the back of a pickup till end of day. He has said something and they say oh he will be fine. Just needs to sleep it off and the guy was in obvious pain. Yes he has called all kinds of departments and no one cares. So he had to close his buissness and 25 people lost their jobs and their Healthcare. But who cares about truth these days.
