Dave Buznik and Chuck get into a Bar Fight

- Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler) is disturbed by Chuck (John Turturro), claiming that he is a bad mood. Although he wants to spend more time with Linda (Marisa Tomei), Dave eventually has to meet Chuck on an anger ally visit. After Chuck has finished with his story on the war in Grenada, he suspects that someone is growing suspicious. He confronts a bald headed man and immediately begins a bar fight. Dave Buznik tries to stop the fight, but a blind man, a friend of the bald headed guy, whacks him with his cane. Dave struggles to take the cane from the blind man, and instead hits a cocktail waitress in the face by the elbow, sending her to the ground. He then awaits trial once again.
A funny bar fight scene that should be amusing to some. Not the best scene in the movie, but funny nonetheless.

Never watched a Coen brothers film or any other serious roles he’s been in before, but John scares me deeply in this film and that’s the sign of a good actor.

@@geoffwilliams4478 Yes, and she got right up into the middle of the fight where you're bound to get accidentally hit from a blow not meant for you, even the bartender was standing way back and on the phone, most likely calling for help. So Dave getting in trouble for that was BS.
However, that waitress must've been in on the set-up since Dave then went back to the judge who's in on the set-up.
I'm not sure if Chuck was in on it, or the rest of that anger management group for that matter.

And instead of that notable point about Dave taking the cane just so he'd stop being whacked with it being mentioned, instead that awful lawyer brings up a totally moot point of "Your honor, we don't even know how blind this man really is". That was not only irrelevant in this particular case, but it's also something that even a fairly decent lawyer would find out before court began

Chuck gets kicked out of the Army, then goes through a real bad time and ends up with hookers and booze and shooting holes through the ceiling and screaming himself to sleep and finally his mom and dad decided it was time for him to move out and that was when he decided to "shack up" with his aunt.
How ironic. I knew a guy who went through very much the same thing. He was in the Navy, however. He had some bad moments, and he got into all sorts of trouble that got him kicked out of the Navy, and not to mention, especially cheating on his spouse and he to give him all he could to make an alimony payment. After that, he got hooked with hookers, booze, and setting off fire works in his neighborhood and where there were complaints, he had to move out of his mom and dad's house and do community service or go to prison for disturbing the peace and public endangerment. At that time, he did "shack up" with his aunt. Deja vu, you might say. Irony, even. The best hilarity. But yes.
The Granada speech is gold. I had to come here to watch it. When you watch the film on Netflix, they cut that whole speech out. I didn't realize Netflix made edits. Oh well. At least, its up here.
