I'm struggling with this, when I plug my wr-r10 into the camera flash control remains greyed out. Any ideas why?

I do all but still i just get remote but not remoteTTL
Using the WR-R10 with the SB5000 should give you TTL. You have to set your flash to TTL mode.
And also in the camera setting up screen (shown at 10:17) you have to select "TTL" as well.
