What a beautiful and educative piece... 🎯 I trust this will help many to do worship right (with understanding) for that's the only way they will have results. Indeed, it will.
And I can't help but add this: The touch of humour... 👌😂

😅😄 Thank you brother and that truly was thr goal of this video. A clear understanding of Worship is paramount to a very effective Christian life. Worship songs transcend emotions and the good feelings we get out of them.

What songs would you say fall under these categories that do not meet the mark of worship

The same way you said you're not a soldier because you sing I am Soldier is the same way whatever you propose as worship isn't worship except your life and actions actually depict worship to God.
Worshipping God comes from living in obedience and submission to me and not in singing songs. So clarifying some songs as worship songs and others not is an unnecessary assignment.
No matter what the lyrics is, when the way you live actually is in worship of God, then your worship is accepted.

@@anthonycaleb6501 beautiful thoughts. I agree that worship comes from living in obedience and submission to God ... yet are there songs that worship and honour God?

Finally, what are my thought, I think you need to do a bit more bible study for yourself, and actually if you say people shouldn't do so and so, what then can they do?, the absence of that makes your motive for the video fishing, giving that if Jesus was going to correct his people, he'd not leave that hanging.
So, for you next video, you should speak on what would build up people and not just minus. Thanks @DGREATLIGHT.

@nookncranny exactly... that's what I stated at the beginning of the video. I had to end this video here because the other part of this video where I explained what worship is and songs that pass for worship got damaged and can't be used. So I'm uploading another where all these will be explained. That's why I said there's a part 2 of this.

Excuse me, i think what would accurately depict what your trying so hard to express is, this songs aren't gospel songs, gospel songs are songs that speak about the goodnews of JESUS, his death, burial and ressurection. Secondly, there is nothing wrong if one sings he is consecrating his life for the cause of Jesus. One thing is that youcant tell if they carryout those spiritual exercises (prayer, study, evangelism) in their private lives. If you read only take out what paul sai "Woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel", and not actually see him do if, it means you'd say the same things to Paul???.
I totally get your point, there are songs of consecration, those songs are like pledging to Our Lord, again and again, (not for him, but for ourselves to be reminded of our why).

@nookncranny The point of this video is on the Context of Worship and thank God you already got the point. Blessings

My Point is, before you say dont sing a song, you need to give why one shouldn't beyond a reasonable doubt, but from what you said, your reasons don't carry weight.
Some of these songs are good christian songs.
Plus, you need to rethink what you define as worship. Worship is rendering obeisance to superior entity. If we are saying God is great and mighty, in your definition it is not worship, in my definition it is. "the King that owns me, made me and knows me", i think that falls under exalting the superior (God in this case).
Because if you read the Old Testament properly, the people of God worshipped HIM by saying what he has done for them and his attributes they've experienced.
In other words, review what you want to upload properly so you bless people rather then be derogatory on others

      @DGREATLIGHT  3 дня назад

@nookncranny I didn't say don't sing a song... I said don't sing these songs as worship. I had a rethink on that particular line and yes, saying the king that owns me, made me and knows me is worship. That's an oversight. Thank you

You say we need to study scriptures to know how David danced...😂😂 That's funny. Probably you'll do the exegeses for us. These are just your ideas.
Psalm 150:4 " Praise him with Timbrel and Dance...."
Again, it is you trying to rebute some of these songs as Worship songs. Are they Christian songs. Yes. Could they edify. Yes, especially the number 1 and 3. So why are you just trying to cause more division to the body of Christ because of your personal opinions

Paul also said in 1 Timothy 2:8
[8]I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
      The Living Bible says
So I want men everywhere to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from sin and anger and resentment.
Would you then say that when you lift up hands, you are praying?
That would be dumb to say.
While the Psalmist said with Timbrel and Dance, he doesn't suggest that when you Dance and use Timbrel you are praising God. Absolutely, not.
Those are things that could go alongside but true worship or praise are conveyed in words not in your dance or the instruments that was used. You've got to say something.
Secondly, David didn't dance like the Gentiles did nor did he dance worldly. If not that would have been recorded... Remember David wore a priestly garment. The priestly clothing in their days symbolised God's presence and authority. It then must mean that he Danced in the Spirit. His dance was not carnal as we see in most quarters today.

@@DGREATLIGHT I'm in support of moderacy and not turning the church to a disco ground. But when we want to support this, we should not use scriptures wrongly to make our point.
Wearing a priestly garment does not indicate how David danced. In the Old testament, many have worn the priestly garment in doing wrong things.
The Bible said that David danced and shamelessly exposed himself. Michal was even disappointed with how he danced as a king. That's not priestly danced.
The point of it was that he expressed his gratitude towards God and not his dance in particular.
David wearing a priestly garment is not in anyway indicative of the dance he danced.
And again, I was trying to point out you mentioning that you cannot worship God with dance. You didn't say it can complement. You said in the video that only with the lips. The same way your dance might not praise or worship God, it is the same way your lips can also not praise or worship God. Worship or Praise comes from the heart, not lips or dance. It is when your lips or dance now express what is resident in your heart that it is now acceptable to God.

    • @DGREATLIGHT
      @DGREATLIGHT  5 дней назад

@anthonycaleb6501 You are right to say The point of it was that he expressed his gratitude towards God and not his dance in particular.
However, his praises was expressed in words. He sang songs. Songs are expressed in words.
But you are also missing it to suggest in your write up that he danced shamefully. He danced with the priestly garment. What did God think about David's dance shows us that David didn't act wrongly. If God could punish Michal for thinking and expressing that he danced shamefully, then it shows that God wasn't disappointed even with his dancing. His dancing pleased the Lord. It was a dance of faith. It was a dance from his spirit not a carnal dance.
Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth must speak. If your worship is in your heart, it must come out in words. Dancing cannot substitute words. Never. Dancing and every other thing should compliment words.
