Of course it's a lot of fun finding those nuggets where you're doing it, I love watching you guys a lot! I think you have a wonderful operation and I know for a fact that you have a lot of expertise in this field of finding gold, love your show bro!
One starts to think of platinum group metals traveling along with gold. They are all very heavy -- yet black. Most trade at higher values than gold. Au ~ 2,000; Rh ~ 45,000.
I wonder if they would put the tailings they just dump after detecting the nuggets and pull out, through a wash plant to recovery all the fine flaky gold. Must be a load. But maybe the set up and running costs would not make the effort worth it. I mean the could also use cyanide recovery but that is dangerous often bad for the environment and the licenses to get to operate that would be a real pain in the arse.
You know how I know this show is staged? Because when they have a handful of rocks, when they find one gold piece (the one piece they put there), they throw the rest of the handful without checking to see if theres more gold. Busted.
They're looking for nuggets. They find 1 per houndred or something square meters. The odds that they pick up 2 with the same handful are pretty low and I wouldn't be surprised if they check their discarded dirt off camera anyways.
What you should know is this is a whole day prospecting that has been squized into 9 mins video. Some episodes are cut out of the video to prodcast the part that's important. Nobody will watch a gold prospecting video of 3 to 4 hrs long
@@getchasome6230 But you implied that though.. If there is never a second nugget in a handful of dirt, why would they ever bother checking the handful of dirt a second time before throwing it away. You contradicted yourself there bud
Dad has a new hobby. I just love him.
They are a wonderful family
I'd be hard pressed to sell the little golden geode if it were mine, that's one of the coolest rocks I've ever seen. Very glad I watched.

Got the munchies so bad at first glance I thought the thumbnail was fried chicken
How much ironstone that's actually gold has been tossed off and cursed? My personal guess is: It would have to be weighed in metric tonnes.
will a magnet stick to the iron stone nugget???? A new way to get gold just use a magnet:)
If it did, don't you think that would have been used already? You sir have come up with a thought that NO ONE has EVER had..

You detect for the big gold first, the rescrape it up and run it through the wash plant.
They are looking for the 30% markup for site specimens from a famous gold claim. Otherwise you set up a leech pad, dump the dirt and cyanide on it.
paul maybe old but he knows gold.
Want about the fine gold
A Nugget Trap in your wash plant can free you guys up from Metal Detecting. But I'm not an expert...
