- This video is about a tricky rule in Tamil Nadu medical counseling. There is a possibility for a low score candidate to get an MBBS seat in a particular college in Round 2, while a high scoring candidate may be denied a seat in the same college. Is it possible? Thank you sir for my earlier question, Tamilnadu counseling online application does not ask for AIR rank! The TN State Automated Rank System database algorithm only take it account if we provide a separate AIR rank number in the specific TAB online application form. Then only the system will take it into account during rank allocation. There is no possibility to extract AIR Rank number from the uploaded PDF score card. Sure there is no magic with automated counselling software. I think apart from Score, Community cat, there is additional factors like +2 PCBM marks, date of birth, domicile mother language speaking, TN domicile birth place, may be father income based the desending TN rank order allocated for same mark and cat students. Sir, could you please help us find exact rank allocation factors if there are many students in the same score and category. Thanks
Please don't complicate. AIR is the only criteria, NOTHING else.
Sir I think concept is correct because candidates should be 100% sure before Round 1 about their choices otherwise they will be impacted

Thank You Sir, this is unfair rule, but in other counseling like MCC, AP, Karnataka, is ascending order only. it will leads to seat blocking.
Program wise it is not a issue Sir, it will run and may be per a student it will take 30 more seconds. Once again Thank You for valuable Information and depth analysis Sir.
I do not know about other counseling. Karnataka counseling explains a procedure where the system runs multiple times before coming to the final allotment list. So, they may probably be doing it.
But, it's tricky. You might get into a loop when you reset and start the allotment again.

Major clarification sir,
One BC student has scored 650 marks. For example there are 200 students in BC category who have secured 650 marks. How counselling automated system will allocate rank from top to bottom (desending) to 200 students of same mark and BC community category. Are there any other factors that should be considered for the ranking system?
Your rank is based on your All India Rank, not based on NEET score. Two candidates may have same score, but will have different AIR. Candidates with higher AIR will get higher ranking in TN merit list.

@@BairavsenthilI had the same doubt too... I think for the TN rank list if 2 people had the same marks, they'll check the DOB... The older one gets the lower rank... I THINK... I COULD BE VERY WRONG

This is the disadvantage of online counselling, if it's offline single window this problem and confusion won't occur, why don't TNMEDICAL SELECTION consider offline counseling..
This problem will happen even in offline counseling.
But, yes, I love offline counseling. It's so simple. Less headache. Less seat blcoking. Yes, it's a burden to travel to Chennai for counseling. But, the advantages are huge. Unfortunately, they won't go back to offline counseling.

The vacancies are confirmed after 1st round, so the computer has the data as to how many seats are available in each college at the beginning of round 2 . So if allotted by rank the vacancies must show up even in earlier ranks.
@@malinibala4726 you are referring to vacancies prior to start of counseling. The video discusses vacancies that are created during seat allotment due to movement of candidates.
@@sridharchenniappan7620 I personally want the stray round to be conducted as a spot counseling. In the spot counseling, option should be given for upgrade. If it's spot counseling, there won't be any vacancies after counseling. Conducting stray round through online is one of the worst decisions.

I made my community certificate in 2018 and it's mentioned I'm from labbais community in bcm My parents bcm certificate was created this year and it mentions they are from dekkani community in bcm.

this is a basic scenario and if this fails then we should not call as single window counseling, software can do what we need. if this basic is not handled then this system has to scrapped. Students in Tamil Nadu were taken for grant and government is not standing for the people.
Let us raise the issue and hope the government finds a solution.

This is wrong descending means higher to lower ,higher means top ranker to low ranker only seats will be given .always higher ranker only given preference
That is why some times round 2 cutoff is higher than round 1

Dear Sir, Student gets a seat in PSG Medical under NRI quota in the first round. During 2nd round choice filling, can the same student again do choice filling for GQ, MQ and NRI lapsed seats in PSG Medical college? Can we get back seat in the above 3 categories based on merit?

Sir, Reallotment only in descending order but a candidate doing fresh choice filling in R2 means, system will automatically do first allotment and go for Reallotment. Correct me if I'm wrong.
No, allotment and reallotment will happen simultaneously. The system will move rank wise.

Without paying the tuition fees, you cannot download the allotment letter.
During choice filling, you have already paid security deposit and additional security deposit.

The video explains the procedure for virtual vacancies. These vacancies will arise only when a candidate gets reallotment and moves to another college.
Sir in government quota prospectus at pg no 12 it is shown that once if get college in round 2 we are not eligible for round 3 and 4 , but in page 43 they are telling realotment possible at round 2. Which is true , two contradicting flow charts at pg 12 and 43. Kindly tell me what i noticed is correct or whether i understood flow chart wrongly?

Our software engieers better, Purposely, counselling team dont want to fix this issue because politician children may use these kind of pin holes.
Please trust the system. All of us can easily check who gets the allotment.
This rule may not be perfect. But, it does not mean we need to suspect the system.

Yes, this only happens for vacancies arising due to reallotment.
If vacancies exist prior to the start of counseling, rank 191 might get the priority.

You will get two options, government quota and management quota.
Within the government quota, you cannot choose the sequence for 20% Christian quota.
