Wow, when I saw the title of the video in recommended, it came to my mind: "What the heck, that anime had fight scenes, I thought it was about depression and family fights".
I can't forget the moment I was completely get prank by the genre, it literally only said "Slice of Life" at first. I thought it's gonna be a high school story like an egg club or smth.
i have not seen the show before. i only saw the frill scenes. they are really well done. honestly if they actually planned out the story properly, they wouldnt have to shoehorn everything into that one episode. i mean they even ran out of time, they could even have made frill come back as one of these creatures and had a proper showdown and dialogue about the nature of suicide. it would help ai understand what is going on in a more satisfying way rather than just an explanation. like maybe one day frill actually comes to understand what went wrong, but the monsters keep coming anyway because of her actions. then the story would still be intact and there could be sequels. but now with the fanbase split, it will be hard for them to get the funding needed to continue. i can only imagine that i will enjoy the series once i get the chance. the animation and characters are top notch. if there are more cases of suicide in the sequels and different characters or time periods, it could be a long running property. like madoka magica. either way, i already like what i see. thank you for the video.
I kept hearing how bad the ending was so I never watched it and just left with the 12 weeks of content from before. I don’t think an ending can ruin an anime because what we did get was honestly an amazing story

though the ending was trash, this anime will stay one of my favs. with all the topics it explores, the lgbt+ representation, the animation, and how much i can personally relate to it, it has become a comfort anime for me 🥚
