They really need to start making unironically hopeful and positive feeling soundtracks like this for video games again, far too many generic cinematic ambience tracks and depressing songs these days. You get a few happy soundtracks here and there with newer titles but usually in the wacky and ironic style. The Sega Sound Collections really made me realise just how much we're missing with modern OSTs.
Thats one thing Sega will never get wrong there sound tracks no matter the go.Its always so uplifting and complete moody charger im really gald to have been introduced to these great classics
You might want to look up the Vitamin Connection soundtrack. It's very positive. Edit:Also Balan Wonderworld OST holy carp. Maybe Mighty Switch Force 2. I might add others.

I mean, statistically, fires can happen anywhere, anytime, for any reason. Most other disasters can at least be predicted with an extremely respectable margin of error.

Someone please tell me this in on virtual console somewhere. The homage mission in PSO is one of my favorite side quests ever, yet I've never played Burning Rangers itself.
I was really hoping they'd appear in the game or at least as cameos. I like the game but this is one of those missed opportunities. But hey, like you said ,at least the theme is in the game.

IF Sega IS reviving some older franchises, iI can see their contender for a shooter could be Burning rangers. closest they got to it. Maybe Treyarch or whoever does a CoD game every other year? they are usually the better of the 2 devs.
