The neighbour was a busy body. She wasn't concerned about it burning down, more of an eye sore. Glad these guys came to her rescue. ❤❤❤ And the reason the neighbour won't get things done for free is her heart. She didn't even say that's a great thing you guys are doing. She reverted to herself because she's selfish. So Donna was away for a year, working in another city to raise money to try and fix the roof. And these neighbours seem somehow grieved because they didn't know where she was. Gosh

That poor lady. The same thing has happened to me. I was trying to help my son get his own address. He works 3 days a week. A few years ago he had an accident and was in a wheel chair because of his back and leg injury. Anyway it turns out that the trailer house he lives in shares a septic tank with us. Now the state is on us about it even though it has been like that since 1972. We have never had a problem with it. My husband and I are on fixed incomes and have a roof that we have been patching for years. Not only do we have to get him a septic put in but we have to have ours inspected. Of course this is thousands of dollars we don't have. They want us to cut off his septic. I told them "then him and his daughter will have to move in with us and the same amount of stuff will be going in there anyway." They told me it don't make any difference, two house holds can not be on the same system. Just don't make since to me. So I know the guilt she was feeling. May God bless you guys.

II don't know why but this video didn't feel good to my soul. It seemed like all of her business was put out in a condescending kind of way and that the neighbors weren't truly happy for her or understanding and caring about her struggles. Just nosey.
You guys are a blessing however the energy was off on this one with the neighbors.
They said in another comment that none of the neighbors they interacted with in the video were the ones that made the complaint with the city.

And you helped out a women with her house being saved and from unpleasant comments from neighbors for the bad roof and making the neighborhood look bad. It was kind of low budget for the neighbor who called the city over her house. I don't buy the story that they were afraid the house would catch on fire. The tarps were an eyesore. Now that it's taken care of, what else are they going to complain about? Some people are just miserable and have nothing else to do but complain.

Love the idea of donating to a dental clinic that serves the impoverished ❤ poor dental health leads to other health problems like damaging heart health.

@@kt1pl2 My understanding was the city was taking it away from her because it needed a new roof. She started a job out of town and COVID impacted her for several reasons. Her job is nursing care. Many of those jobs require traveling to elderly peoples homes hours away and some are facilities that require the workers to sleep there during shifts lasting several days.
Now that saving $ for a roof isn’t an issue anymore, maybe she won’t have to work the same hours/locations. Therefore sleeping more at her own home. The city can leave her to enjoy her home again. So doing a new roof was the entire point. So she could potentially return to living there like she had been.
