I bought the Sonos Beam and returned after 2 hours. Sonos beam works great, do not get me wrong. The surround effect works better than bose smart 300 but you hear Sonos beam like you’re a listen through the speaker inside a shoebox. I went to the store and exchanged for the Bose 300. Bose Sound is crystal clear and have just enough bass. If you want more bum bum you’ll need the bass module 500. I was not going to get it because I live in a condo but I will post and update once I get it delivery this Friday. Both system are good sometimes it depend of the space were you will install it. If is open area , ceiling height and shape of room. The good news that here you can always try the product and if you are not satisfied you can return it or exchange it. Hope it help.
LOVE the way you SHOWED the measurements of the sound bar instead of reading the dimensions out, that's a FAR clearer way to understand the dimensions ❤️❤️❤️
Small and medium rooms generally mean the average houses bedroom sizes and a large would be the living room. You won’t find any standard anywhere. I know that would be helpful but it’s not happening
What sonos doesn’t tell you is that their beam constantly draws 6 watts even when idle. It sounds fantastic but im not having it consistently eat electricity even when im not using it. I think the bose is 0.5 watts in stand by.
Please give me the best numbers to put mines in I have it in a medium size room what number should center, bass and table be on for optimal sound? Thank you
Hi, thanks for this great video! I wanted to ask what you mean by it doesn't support Apple Music? I have a Macbook pro so does that mean I can not play songs from Apple Music wirelessly on the soundbar?
Hi, can you tell me if this is better than the Bose Sound bar 500 or is it the same? I can get Both for the same price so can you tell me which is better. Thanks
I cant get this to connect to a Kef sub in anyway, phoned Bose tech and they said cant see why not if I hard wire it but it does not work. Sound is ok but as its sort of entry level for Bose its ok, not prepared to pay £700 for a sound bar then extra for sub and rear speakers. Looks nice and does the job for TV but lacks a bit for music.
@David Mander I got rid of my Onkyo Amp , Kef Sub and surround speakers as they were a bit to loud as my wife has a perforated ear drum so she could not handle the thump of the system no more. bought this to take its place, I know that these are no substitute for what I had.😊
Just bought it for $500 AUD...best on the market in that price range...sounds and looks amazing...works fine with optical cable, u don't need HDMI cable
@@seanjoe1704 Thank you. Bought one there its really good. Unfortunately tv has no ARC but using optical and have it switched on by remote and start up instant enough
Hi, my bose music app wont connect to my soundbar, is there any solution for it please as from my research i need the soundbar MAC address in order to complete the setup
I have recently got the “normal” Bose TV speaker which is a great soundbar, especially the size and price! Really sleek This looks like a great upgrade from that one though 😍
Majority of TVs have optical including older TVs. Only newer TVs support arc and most people have a hdmi cable lying around if they want to use the arc feature.
Bose has issues... I got the app the connect and set up, a week later I CAN'T CONNECT my phone! Works fine with TV but can't even BT Spodify 😒. OBVIOUSLY I'm NOT the only one. WTH Bose premium price and sound but no feature real life applications capabilities...
I am disappointed with the brand. There is NO way that in years they will accept that they have a problem with the ARC in their equipment. I have owned and owned soundbars such as the ST300 and recently the Smart SoundBar 300. There is no way I can get sound from the TV as a source via HDMI cable.
If it helps, audio via ARC never worked on my Sony XBR49X800D with my LG soundbar. Same soundbar, worked fine with my Sony XBR55X900H. I think it was just a problem with the TV. I upgraded to this Bose soundbar, still works on the 900H.
@@Mr_Pussi I managed to find the problem. This is the HDMI output of the cable TV box, which blocks the ARC function. The solution was to buy a blocker for the HDMI output of the cable TV box and the problem was solved.
400 Dollars and they can't include the hdmi cable & The remote is cheap looking a feeling. The sound is decent but not amazing. I am overall disappointed in the 300.
Are Bose still refusing to support Dolby DTS (like the Sonos Beam) which is the standard for all Blurays/4k UHD discs? Which is simply ridiculous....converting everything to 2.0 stereo.....
The Samsung it’s like comparing apples and oranges. The Samsung has a subwoofer this one you need to purchase it separately then you will see a vast improvement in bass response.
I feel you on that, but in this soundbar's defense, there is no way to get a standalone soundbar that has dolby atmos, without getting something that has a subwoofer to match. This goes with a bose subwoofer 500 of course, but most people who get this one would probably get this just alone (Such as myself).
@@kingpin22s Agreed. I bought this last week and have been impressed with it so far. Just watched 4 of the Teminator Films on it and couldn’t be more pleased. I honestly don’t even need a sound bar. Gonna watch all the Rambo Films over the 3-day weekend too.
I’ve had a Sonos Beam which this would compared to. I must say this is better, I use in a bedroom setup. In my living room Sonos Arc system all the way.
Well in my expensive shure headphones it sounds as sh1t as I expected🤣 you should always play real music, preferably with some piano, when testing speakers, especially with Bose as it shows how bad they are...
Bose 300 or Sonos Beam?
I have the same question
I tried the Sonos Beam and the dialogue sucked. The Smart Soundbar 300 is better.
Awaiting your comparison with Sonos Beam.

@@fabian5579 The Bass module 500 is definitely needed to get a decent sound, you can reduce the bass level if you don't want to wake up neighbors.

Nice video, but I wish someone would define what is meant by a small or medium sized room. Some x by y dimensions would be helpful. Many thanks
What size TV was that above the Bose Smart Soundbar 300? Thxxx
What sonos doesn’t tell you is that their beam constantly draws 6 watts even when idle. It sounds fantastic but im not having it consistently eat electricity even when im not using it. I think the bose is 0.5 watts in stand by.
Bruh if you calculate how much more electricity that is per month its gotta be less than a dime....

hi do all the led lights turn off when your not using the remote, dont want destracting lights when trying to watch content? Unit looks nice!
all things tech: Do you know if we can open and close de sound bar with the Alexa voice command?
Can this be paired to a PC for gaming purposes without any issue??
An impressive, informative video. This soundbar is indeed tempting. Thank you.
what is rated rms power???
I really appreciated you showing me the quality of the sound through my old iPhone
I use a firestick. Can i get the audio to play from this?
How is the service Support from BOSE . I have experience - Very Bad .
can this be hooked up to a PC?
This is one of my choices.I am also looking at Samsung,VIZIO,Yamaha. But this is my #1 choice because of its size.Thank you for the full review.
When did this soundbar release?
Hi, thanks for this great video!

Great video! I cant decide between this or the Bose 300. I will be getting the sub and rears for my set up. Anyone tried a full set up with either?

What about the soundbar 500? Some stores still sell it.
Great review, Can I pair my HomePod with this sound bar to make a stereo pair?
How to make old Bose Sound bar 300 compatible with google assistant or alexa
I love all sound things bose because they're quality master products.
It beats the zBeam on clarity and music. The Beam is mid bass heavy and a bit sibilant.
You mean Sonos Beam?
very nice demonstration.....thanks.......
Can I put outside? Is it okay in all weather if covered outside?
It would say outside speaker
Have one it’s awesome 👏
Will the bose 500 subwoofer work with this soundbar?
Yes
Have one it sounds awesome
Can I connect and play together to my bose revolve?
Of course
@@shotbymarlozan I mean can i use as surround speaker two bose revolve?
Well I know the soundbar sounded better but the tv speaker was still good but there was not really any bass or not as immersive as the soundbar
Bose needs to work on their app and be able to pair any Bose speaker 🔈 as rear surround.
Does it take long to start up with the tv? some home cinema takes forever for them to start up
nope. it takes suddenly.

Bose 300 vs 300 smart soundbar. Differences?
300 is not smart

Comes with alexa and supports wifi streaming.

Ouch on the price for a soundbar 😒

Why, ?? does this soundbar come with an optical cable ?? I suppose first choice would be hdmi ! So,. what behind putting money in this !

Sounds like a problem with your TV / settings. What kind of TV do you have?
Sounds like user error occurring as it works just fine with everyone else.
