It's because this is America if it don't make them a profit they're not going to bother with it they don't care about the environment if they did care about the environment this would have never been a problem and it's not that good it's a bony fish that's that you got to add a lot of seasoning too to make it taste good

Also, there was a small pond about 20 miles from our house, and my dad and I would catch carp there as well. They love dough balls and corn. Salt, pepper, thin ginger slices, and soy sauce to marinate the fish and then steam. After you take it out, put sliced green onion, and Asian parsley. Then heat oil to smoking point and pour it on top of the fish.

I’m from the midwest and we often caught carp on our trot lines when we fished the streams and creeks. Normally, we would always gut them and toss them back to keep their numbers down. If they were smaller, we would put them in a ‘fishing hole’ in a spring-fed creek across from our house for a few weeks to ‘clean’ them out and then we prepared them the same way we would fresh water suckers. You gutted, headed and scaled them, then, using a very sharp knife, would score them by cutting slits perpendicular to the backbone about 1/8 - 1/4” apart. We rolled them in flour and cornmeal and fried them up golden brown. The scoring allows the hot oil to penetrate the flesh and crisps up the fine bones so you don’t even know they had them. The flesh was white and mild tasting. Good eatin’!!

The catch is that when you fillet a carp it leaves bones in it like a salmon that you have to take out.

you should sautee onion garlic and little ginger ,boil it with tomato sauce bred crumbs to thickrn it up and fried potatoes.. its also good as fish and chips with tartar sauce, dont throw the head remove the gills, get a knife chop it in half, fry it on both side theres a fattly round shape muscle under neath the gills and its one of the best part of the fish, also the eyes and its brain is very juicy you can fry the head and boil it and put it on Tomato soup or sour soup with little ginger

Wait wait wait....Inside Edition....did you seriously do a news story about how this carp has negative connotations for Asia with it's name Asian carp and then when selecting someone to show you how to eat it....feature an Asian woman putting soy sauce on it? Dude.... You played right back into the stereotype. France pays to import Asian carp because it tastes so much better than European carp. The Larousse Gastronomie has a recipe for Asian carp and praises it. This is a sophisticated fish for classic European food. In Missouri they smoke it and the general consensus is smoked carp is better than smoked salmon. You could have expanded peoples' minds way beyond the obvious.
