I see the meaning of this, it’s basically saying you think you can do everything on your own but then the devil will strike you down by pointing the imperfections in you, and causing people in your life to bring you down from them. And you eventually realize you need God’s hands to lift you up and not fight alone. I actually suffer from this, and I realize I need God in these situations but I always chose to fight on my own, but that was a mistake cause all my mistakes and errors come back and make me suffer cause I can’t forget how many friends I’ve lost or how many things I’ve said wrongly cause of my errors. Just so y’all know never try to think you don’t need assistance to win a fight, you will always need help. It doesn’t matter if someone laughs at you cause you can’t fight on your own, they’re the ones not realizing what can happen doing everything your way without guidance. Always ask for help when needed, never be afraid, you will thank me for making this comment when you do have someone help you and how it’s better to get that assistance.
This is one of the most underated bands I've ever heared. Without a doubt these guys should be a lot more popular. People, please don't argue about religion on youtube. Everyone has their own right to what they choose to believe in. Please just listen to the music. :)

I'm so proud of josh smith! the singer of this band. we grew up in the same town of avon park,fl and went to the same church and the same home school!,prayed together,did bible study together and he was my friend and would always come over to my house wanting to start a band with me cause i was a guitar player also!lol. i even have pictures of him baptising me and my wife! the last time he was coming to town he gave me his number and i lost it!

Just as you may interpret this and apply this to a natural situation, people that believe in a higher power, religion, God, may apply it to their supernatural lifestyle. This song can be very spiritual to a believer because the God we believe in tells us found us in our dark places and gave us light. We believe that He will fight for us and it's not for us to do on our own. He's our way out, our new world and every time we try to do it our way we fail because we believe that we can't do it without Christ. :) I think it's cool that we can all interpret things differently and apply it to our own situation. Not trumping what you said just wanted you to see what someone else may!

I was a Sinner before, and still am, but this song is REALLY helping me get my act together. Love these guys. They got me into Christian Rock again.
