Ohhh the idea that this is based on basketweave makes me excited to pull out one of my basketweave books for even more designs. I know the tree top star is in one of my basket making books.
HI Diane, I'm making another snowflake right now. It's so much fun and beautiful. Let me know if you have questions and thanks for watching. Happy Holidays!
Thanks Andy. The snowflake is fun to make. The red & white one was my first one and decided to try a different size belt loop folder for the silver and white one. Hope you have a great holiday season!
@@lynnekasworm1240 hi Lynne, you’re very observant. Yes, I did use the size 10/20 (small) belt loop folder for the red & white snowflake. The strips are 6” long but for the silver & white one, I thought 7” would be a better proportion for the 5/8” width of strips. Thanks for watching and happy holidays!
I have a baby lock Euphoria - I guess this craft would work on that machine too? Wish I had known abt the Bernina L890 - love the machine - but had already invested in three Baby Lock machines (Victory, Acclaim and Euphoria)
@@velvetstitching3631 hi, yes it would work perfectly. The same stitch on your machine is the triple Coverstitch. Just test the tension settings and stitch length for the best result and thanks for watching. Happy holidays and have a creative 2025!
@GailPatriceDesign Gail - I certainly enjoy your classes! Thank you! 💖 😊 I have learned many good things from watching your previous videos! Again - Thank you!
@@edbartlett1090 hi Ed, I used a Schmetz ELx 705 size 90/14 needle. There lots of brands that make these serger specific needles. And they worked perfectly. They aren’t sold in the chain stores but your local dealer should have them. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for watching. Happy holidays:
@@carolehiggins5325 hi Carole, yes , it will work with the belt loop binder. They are really just 2 different names for the same accessory. Have fun, happy holidays and thanks for watching!
How does the range of width in a single Bernina belt loop binder work? is there an adjustable slide or simply using different width strips and no adjustment? I'm confused by the size range on each of the three belt loop binders. For a given binder, does the width of the finished belt loop depend upon the strip width used? or is the same width finished belt loop remain the same regardless of which unfinished width strip used (as long as that strip falls within the range designated for that binder)?
Thanks! Your reply helped me understand perfectly. It wasn’t clear from Bernina’s product description what the numbers meant. Learned first # is mm width of finished piece and larger # is mm width of raw edge starting strip makes sense. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
You could add those little lights inside too 😊
@@koalasez1200 the lights would really make it sparkle. Great idea and thanks for watching. Happy holidays!
Wow, wow, wow! 🤩 I hope you photograph these next to the trees 🌲 you made. Thanks for sharing ❤
@@jolenecaruso8948 thanks for watching Jolene-great suggestion. I made a silver & white tree from the same fabric.
Thank You!!!!
I think this is another item to add to Christmas gift bags.

I like the red one you showed in the beginning too! Looks like you used the small instead of the medium folder for that one, Great idea! Thanks Gail

Would this work with the belt loop Binder accessory? My dealer is awaiting the belt loop folders to arrive from Bernina.
