Guilty Gear Strive is the first fighting game I've ever gotten into, and so many tutorials would just confuse the hell out of me since they only showed how to do things rather than why or when to do things, and failed to show how to successfully apply these strats to games in an in-game situation. This sort of tutorial is what all Coaches should strive to create.
I don't think you understood fully what I said. While the tutorials or good, they still don't explain why the combo works or when you would utilize them in a match@@Lumaz001
Strive has shockingly good tutorials, which DO tell you when to do certain stuff. There's even some missions that tell you "Deal X damage in one combo" or things like that, for which you need to apply what you have learned on the rest of the tutorials. It's miles ahead of most fighting game's half-assed tutorials, which tend to just make you drill combos which are useless half of the time.
It's hard to be entertaining and informative at the same time. Nice tutorial Zato and Pot are the most fun characters to play in the game for me. I'm definitely pretty scrubby with Zato, but when someone with bars uses him he deserves to be the glass-jaw that he is.
Bro this is the video that got me to sub. Your guides and overall approach to strategy is super refreshing man. U deff got a gift so keep making content n before long ppl will ultimately see what i see
My friend started playing zato and this is my counter play information video. Most effective counter play is with bedman. You can disrespect a lot of combos if youre fast enough with side switches and ruin eddie set ups. Bedmans combos also deal a chunk of damage and almost everything converts into a combo so it’s very punishing when a zato player misplays which is inevitable
Deadass ur the only GG strive RUclips I watch. Your tutorials are funny and fr helpful. Especially ur Chipp vid (us Chipp mains gotta stick together ✊)
Maining Chipp is definitely a brotherhood 😂💯. Thanks man that means a lot! I really try to make the content I wish I had first learning lol so I’m glad you enjoy it
12:34 As a zato main with over 1k hours, i have to correct you... There are a few moments when holding all 4 attack buttons is absolutely the way to go. Simply because it frees up a response based on how the opponenent responds or acts. But this is easily possible with a good fat thump technique once you get the placement down.
@@kevintrent7485 I agree 100% this is just to get people started so they eventually make it to your level. When they get there they will start holding more buttons to address more specific problems/situations.
@StrawHatCentral He is so much fun once you get the concepts of holding buttons and negative edge internalized. I've never enjoyed a fighting character more. Great video, though! I keep these things going in the background. Zato can be played so many different ways that even the most basic of tutorials can have major influence on gameplay
(unsolicited advice from an amateur zato enjoyer) longest charged dust combo that i've found; S -> D -> S -> Airdash BACKWARDS -> wait a tiny bit -> HS -> D -> D(finisher) if anyone knows a longer or higher damaging charged dust combo i'd like to hear it
Pressing buttons to fast is something i had to learn not to do. I was a magneto and storm main back in mcv2.. very spastic fingers. This games rhythm is much slower. Havent played fighting games since mvc2.. since yesterday. I cant stand they way they made my boy Testament look.
Love this a lot, fav strive vid by a mile Can you break down the post drives a little more? There’s tutorials and breakdowns to go practice and work on for the other topics but post drive is uniquely hard imo, bc I get hit trying to poke a whole lot
There is a gap there but because of the spacing moves that are fast enough won’t reach Eddie so they either get counter hit by the second hit or get stuffed by the 2s before they even get it out.

Heh. STRIVE to create.
strive actually does a great job on combo tutorials. If you cant understand it, you might just be a bit slow mate.

Look up Charles Barkley’s revenge 😂
isnt the secont hit of pierce during the first part of your Drive section not confirmed?
