Catching up! What a great place you hunted. What a nice discovery. The Two matching buckles were so cool and you needed to hunt as a team with so much land. I look forward to seeing your follow dig at this site!
That place is dripping with historic evidence from century's. Love the finds and thanks for the calendar. Meet y'all in Murfreesboro I'm so excited and impatient at same time.
Nice spot to hunt. That house looks like it's still standing perfectly plumb, straight and true, that's so awesome to me to see these beautiful old buildings standing up to time. They really took great effort to build something like that. Great hunt you guys!
Hats off to you guys and all other humans that work extremely hard to literally find and exhume history from under our feet! I absolutely love history and the hidden stories that it holds just waiting for someone such as yourselves to unearth it from the dirt! You guys are doing a wonderful thing by digging up artifacts that were once lost to time and learning about them and teaching others about what life was like for those brave and courageous humans that lived through some of the toughest times throughout the history of our country and other countries around the world! So again,I tip my hat to you amazing humans for just doing what you do! Never stop being you and digging up the past to learn and teach about what it was like to live in "ye olden times"! Great content and as always,Keep on keepin on my friends!😊
I don't know if it was ever a thing to do with lead plate, but that lead square on a loop of string reminds me of the thing that hangs down on a wind chime, or maybe something similar that might have been used to try to keep birds away
@@nickimpala8886 I meant the part that hangs down below it and catches the wind, not a part that would actually be making contact with the other metal to make noise, Lead is dead
The oval thing you found is an old time gasket for the carburetor of a really old engine. The first gaskets made were metal. Then they switched to cork.
In the early colonial times German settlers did a practice for good luck, like the horse shoe over the front door. They would bury a small cache of coins in each cardinal direction away from the house. While building the house they would often place a cache in the masonry over the front door.
What a nice spot! Can't wait to see what's out in the field! I'll see you there 🤣 I think the big 2 piece buckle is a sash buckle. I believe the other horse piece is a saddle strap guide? Digstock!
Hope the home owner loved the finds! The buckles were very unique 👌 Be sure and speak to the natives about the sasquatch in the area. Don't wander off into the woods alone!
Look at the coin at @14:50. Pay attention to details. Then look at the coin @15:20. Note the lack of details. You guys need to look into alternative methods of field cleaning and onsite preservation of artifacts. Many other methods besides the belt sander. Awesome videos guys!! Keep finding the good stuff, and try not to break it when you do.
I found an identical lead item as rich! It was in a yard too, not near water where I would expect a homemade sinker but I was perplexed and the string was looped the exact same way!!
The plaque you noticed on the side of the house appears to be an apotropaic marker (symbols of protection to ward off witches/evil, so-on, so forth) given the age of the house. But I could be mistaken.
Great video! that lens-shaped , ornate bridal decoration, is Swiss....! Read the whole family story on that stone monument, under those trees. Eleven children...?! Emigrants, stetting down roots..., in America!
WHATS UP GUYS?Another fine video thank you.I cant wait for you to hit that house again. The farmers are starting to cut alot of hay fields in our area it was nice to dig a few treasures out of the fields.Happy Hunting.
Love your channel.....where is Paul? Have not seen Pirate Paul the past few videos. Hope he is in good health what makes your channel fun to watch is the teasing between you Paul and Doug.
I heard a coin collector say one time that if you find an old coin ,,,do not rub the dirt off with your fingers . It will put light scratches that will decrease the value some. A squirt bottle and plastic brush only should be used.
Hey Jason You guys nailed it with this permission . Some really great finds Hey i have that same square buckle that Matt found . Im thinking it may be a hat band buckle. Hope this helps . Can't wait for the next!!
Jason I found the same button the other day. Mine was gold plated and when I went to clean it, it crumbled in the center. Great video and great finds like always.
1:02 mark, the first item could be a chit of some sort. I don't know what state you are in but slaves and indentured servants had chits to travel to towns and other plantations or homes. At the 8:15 mark, that smooth disk could be a part of a steam valve used as a burst valve.
That piece of lead could have been used as a throwing weight for the lines that hold a boat cover on. I use something similar and tie it onto the tie downs before tossing them under the boat trailer.
GREAT VIDEOS GUYS.HEY DOUG I FOUND A BRASS CAP WITH HOLES IN IT LIKE YOU DID AT6:00.I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT.DID YOU HAVE ANY LUCK? PLEASE KEEPEM COMING GREAT WORK GUYS!
I'm pretty sure Rich found a bag tag. Bags of flour, potatoes, grain. They tagged them with those square tags and wrapped the wire around the top of the bag to keep it closed.😅
Good day, I’m terribly intrigued by the Bergey memorial stone. My paternal grandmother was a Bergey, and we are still in the Mennonite church. I wonder if this would be relatives? Is there any way to get more information about it from the family who owns this?
For the piece that I said would hold a bone and normally they’ll stick a stick through there that’s probably why the metals lift it up on both sides like that
In the name of participating in the conversation, I'll hazard a guess as to the first article found. Something a 1740's kid came up with, as a working part of an invention requiring balance, weights and counterweights.
Beautiful button Jason. Awesome shoe buckles Matt & Rich. Beautiful Matron head cent Doug.
Thanks for the shoutout on Treasure Fest! We’re excited to have you guys down in Arkansas. See ya soon!
Jason I'll watch tomorrow on my lunch break just giving you a thumbs up 🤷
The button is a Great Seal Button 1902 to now. You guys rock. Great videos.
Catching up! What a great place you hunted. What a nice discovery. The Two matching buckles were so cool and you needed to hunt as a team with so much land. I look forward to seeing your follow dig at this site!

Exactly what I was thinking. .old wind chime
I don’t think lead makes noise like that
@@nickimpala8886 I meant the part that hangs down below it and catches the wind, not a part that would actually be making contact with the other metal to make noise, Lead is dead
A pencil around your wrist like a storekeeper. Lead writes on paper.
Looking forward to seeing you all at digstock again this fall!

1:30 homemade clapper for wing chimes?

Lots of great finds and laughter! Thanks for sharing with us!
Cute comments about the turtle, Doug !!!
6:00 looks like an end to an RCA vacuum tube where the prongs go through
I found an identical lead item as rich! It was in a yard too, not near water where I would expect a homemade sinker but I was perplexed and the string was looped the exact same way!!
Lovely detail on that first button.

Just walking down a cobblestone road I stumped my toe and up popped a Roman coin. 1960's
Great video Jason. I really liked those awesome finds those buckles and Doug's matron head large cent.
The wife and I will be at digstock hope to see ya there. Always a great hunt.
Thankyou for sharing.
that 5 hole button item reminds me of devices used to make string or rope if larger by spinning multiple strings to make one rope good finds
My grandparents used lead weights to train certain garden plants (tomatoes, okra, etc).
Absolutely stunning house and property
I can't wait for you all to hit that big hay field. I think there's gonna be some oooold coins out there......and buttons 🙂
It fun to watch you all. Look at galasha old rubber boots for that buckle with the pointy center pin. Just a though. Blessings
What a nice find
See you guys at Digstock!
The Earl was an American car made right around 1921 to 1923. Cool find!
Nice video again and the best regards to Lynn!!

Cool House
glad it’s cooled down a bit and its bot so hot so its alot easier to detect
Sweet location! Best of luck QH Crew!
Possibly a sample piece for when they were doing the plumbing piping
Very nice homestead. I would detect all around the steps and porch for things that were dropped off the railing or steps.
Great video congratulations to you all and the home is a stunner
I heard a coin collector say one time that if you find an old coin ,,,do not rub the dirt off with your fingers . It will put light scratches that will decrease the value some. A squirt bottle and plastic brush only should be used.

Jason I found the same button the other day. Mine was gold plated and when I went to clean it, it crumbled in the center. Great video and great finds like always.
Hi Quarter Hoarder, my name is Timothy "The Main Source", you had a antique handle for a small kitchen door.
Tell matt to clean that buckle theere is a pat date on the back . Found one yesterday

Nice old house

Nice!
That square on the string looks like it was a dinger for an old wind chime

Man this looks like fun. Great finds 👌

great stuff! and a good time to invest in a spray bottle?
Great episode really enjoyed. Could the lead piece be a old plumb line
1:30 maybe a selfmade fishing ground lead
The five hole circle piece, shown as the second find on the video, is one piece or one side of a snap. used for clothes as a snap. just thinking.
If you see old trees, that's where the farmers/workers took a rest. Stuff sometime spills out of pockets. ✔️
That is a freight tag. It was bent over and over, and part of it is missing.
Awesome hunt guys sick finds
