I'm just grateful that they didnt show Gerry actually die. Like I was crying hard enough for the whole entire movie. If I saw him die, I would've died myself
@@karengerber8390 Thanks...I do! He was the best dad ever....We (mom, sister and I) jokingly say that he was a combination of Jesus, Steve Martin and Ray Romano. LOL
While this scene is cute and shows how Gerry messed with everyone, I’m very happy to have not seen sick Gerry in the final cut. When you look back at someone’s life, you might remember the good and the bad, but you aren’t going to remember them sick or dying. You’re going to remember them how you knew them. The director did a perfect job in creating “I knew him” memories for the audience.
Wow. I can't believe that this brilliant scene has been deleted... I've laughed and cried watching it. Good memories. I definitely need to read P.S. again. I love it
This was really sweet and funny but I'm kind of glad it was deleted. Seeing Gerry so sick looking is in such contrast with everything else in the movie I think it would have been out of place.
Thank god they didn't put this in the movie, I cried so much without the scene and I still remember the movie and I get that feeling of dry throat! It's funny and cute scene, BUT really strong, terrible see him like this U_U
When I read this scene in the book, I was crying thinking of Gerry in this scene...then when I saw it, I cried again. I cried for like 45 minutes reading that last letter thinking about Gerry not being around...I’m too emotional lol out of all the romantic pairings in his movies, I am most like Holly.
I literally just read this book yesterday and finished it this morning then I looked it up and found this...I HAVE BEEN LIVING UNDER A DAMN ROCK😭😭😭 THE STORY WAS THE BEST🖤❤🖤
LOL OMG I thought this would be a tearfull scene, instead it had me laughing hard!!! Thanks for sharing! Would live to watch the entire movie but I can't find it here in Brazil.
funny scene! made me LOL ! I think it wasn't used as it shown Gerry leading up to his death and looking unwell. I think the director wanted us to see how Gerry looked when he was healthy so we always had that image of him :) even though his personality and sense of humour still shines through in this scene :D
Godammit. Why did they even remove this part?!? It shows how sick Gerry was and how he was still thinking about his wife!! The fact that they killed gerry just like that frustrates me
They should have included this..its in the book and made me cry makes him a much better character the film was good but it concentrated on her and that wasnt the point IMHO
i havent cried this much while watching a movie literally, normally for other sad movies nly a drop of tear falls off but this....... i was sobbing really hard as if i culdnt breathe and my lips ver quivering very badly, OMG even ven i was watching this scene i cried so much, at the same tym laughing very hard thru my tears.
@cormaelia they would have put it in when she got the letter so there for it wouldn't have ruined the surprises at all. i think the film would have been a lot better with this included.
I swear.. this movie had me crying.. then laughing 3 minutes later... and then crying my hear out again 5 minutes later.. a repeating cycle..
TubeYou I love your name
Me too
I'm just grateful that they didnt show Gerry actually die. Like I was crying hard enough for the whole entire movie. If I saw him die, I would've died myself
+megs Yeah. I still get the same feels everytime I rewatch the movie :(
oh my god yes thank God they didn't 😢
megs me too
Same here but I wish they would’ve explained it a little more and better about what happened to him
@@JohnnyProds he had a brain tumor.
this scene made me cry :( I think they only deleted it because they wanted the viewers to remember Gerry as he was.
i was thinking that
I can't figure why it was cut. To me this is letting the audience know that he was himself right up until the end. My favorite scene, "in," the movie.
Gotta love the Irish, even at death's door they find a way to let in humour.
My dad was too far good to bring humor, but he was so Irish, he died last year on St. Patrick's Day.
@@christineoneal666 💚
I meant to say he was far too sick to bring humor in his last moments.
@@christineoneal666
I am so sorry for your loss.
I hope you have many wonderful memories!

As someone who has watched 2 people succumb to cancer...its not very fun to watch. It can actually ruin you mentally
look how sick he looks. *heartbreaking* he is one of the BEST actor ever.
Haha never thought I could cry and laugh at the same time omg
I know...not fair how they do that! I'm a wreck!
it takes someone on their death bed to make some of us realize how precious life and love is!
They should've kept this scene it's so heartwarming and funny 😭♥️
Wow. I can't believe that this brilliant scene has been deleted... I've laughed and cried watching it. Good memories. I definitely need to read P.S. again. I love it
He's such an ass, had me going for a minute. Lmfao.
"I'm not even paying attention" "I thought that was a little too much, meself"
This was really sweet and funny but I'm kind of glad it was deleted. Seeing Gerry so sick looking is in such contrast with everything else in the movie I think it would have been out of place.
I’m glad they didn’t include it but also glad I got to watch more of his character in a deleted scene.
I CANT BELEIVE THEY CUT THAT SCENE OUT. THAT WAS SUCH AN IMPORTANT SCENE. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CUT OUT. GREAT MOIE THOUGH.
Thank god they didn't put this in the movie, I cried so much without the scene and I still remember the movie and I get that feeling of dry throat!
It's funny and cute scene, BUT really strong, terrible see him like this U_U
It physically hurts me seeing Gerry sick like this. My heart is... shattered man, i CAN'T
Gerard Butler doesn't get enough credit sometimes... christ this man is a god send.

They should not have deleted it.
I agree it should have been kept in the movie.

Aaaaaah snaaap. I feel that shouldn’t have been deleted. This movie is one of my favorite. Reminds me of how Love can literally be eternal.

Godammit. Why did they even remove this part?!? It shows how sick Gerry was and how he was still thinking about his wife!! The fact that they killed gerry just like that frustrates me
This is so sad!!! He really loves her to but her happiness ahead of his own even as he is dying. I'm crying here too!😂😭😢

Love this movie!!!! Wish they had left this in the movie!!
This movie is one of my favorites I watch it everytime it on tv and have it in DVD and watch at least twice a month.. its truly a GREAT MOVIE
They should have included this..its in the book and made me cry makes him a much better character the film was good but it concentrated on her and that wasnt the point IMHO
This scene should never had been deleted,, epic death jokes..

that was absolutely hysterical. XD
I love that scene
They definitely should have left this in. 💞😂😥💔
Laughing & Crying at the same time cryaughing *creys*
It was a beautiful scene! Why did they cut it?
Well, because of the delay in sound I missed the last, what, thirty seconds of dialogue.
He said, "I thought that was a little too much myself."
this scene is match with john powell 's score " Travel Agent"
why am I crying?
love this. i know the voice.
Hes so niceee to arrange vacation for her n friends
no puede ser, acabaron con la imagen super guapísima que tenía de Gerard Butler!!!!
@cormaelia they would have put it in when she got the letter so there for it wouldn't have ruined the surprises at all. i think the film would have been a lot better with this included.
