I decided to become a nurse because I was working dead end jobs, kitchens/factories/warehouses. I was washing dishes the last 3 years, during the quarantine I wondered what could I do to still be working during another quarantine…healthcare. I’ve been a nurse since January this year, from dishwasher, to nurse.

I want to go to nursing school, I want to go the lpn route first🤍 I’m so paranoid that I’m not smart enough and I learn slower in my opinion. I know these are peoples lives in a nurses hands and I want to do great. Maybe I’m thinking too much but my college starts the lpn program every spring and fall term so I’m aiming to go Spring2024(January 2024)

Love FAU. Did my Health Science there then graduation. Then went to an accelerated nursing program. Also grew up with one of your best friend in Broward 😂
I also have experience with nursing school. My senior year of high school I was in a Licensed Practical Nursing program and I didn’t do as well as I should I had a D. Then later on I ended up at another school for LPN and couldn’t make the grade. It’s not for everyone and I think I’m going to move forward with studying a different field. Healthcare majors have came with a lot of disappointments for me based on difficulty of classes.
If it’s your passion stick to it! I’ve seen people fail twice and it was the last try when they got it! Take a break if you have to and figure out your study methods.
Focus on figuring out how to study and time management
I want to be a nurse so bad but it truly is hard with kids and a full time job, and unfortunately I make too much for financial aid. Can anyone give advice on how to get through this. I already have an associates in science in nursing

Everything isn’t for everyone. However, what’s not good for someone else may be good for. Do what you desire to do? Don’t base it on other opinions. There are people who loves nursing and there are people who don’t like it. Just as any other occupation. Do you 💫
The profession as a whole is still incredibly necessary if we as a country are to continue, as we will all need the care of doctors and nurses at some point on our lives!! But the way we choose to operate health care as a for-profit business in this country continues to cause many hard to overcome issues, and how to not overwork our bedside nurses by understaffing units to save companies on labor expenses, and also underpaying our nurses as they do in most every state currently, are 2 problems that are very frustrating to hard working nurses that will often leave the bedside positions, as they are the hardest positions to endure. But some nurses still find enough job satisfaction to stay in bedside positions, while many have been able to find other ways to use their degree to make money in other jobs that provide a better amount of job satisfaction, in their opinion. You should work towards your dream of becoming a nurse, because evrn with the drawbacks of our current system, there are so many ways to use that degree to make money that you should be able to find some way to use it to earn a living and be somewhat happy, though all jobs have drawbacks! You can do this and find decent job in the health field that excites you, anf can change jobs easily if you become unhappy at a job!!
Did you post a why you wanted to become an NP video? That’s my dream but I’m currently a new grad lol
