    Wow that was great! Good job John and Christy! My husband didn’t know his dad until after he died back in 2012! He was an only child raised by his mom one day, the next day he found out he had 5 brothers and sisters. SURPRISE! It took a lot for him to accept it all. And thr brothers and sisters had to accept their dad had an affair on their mom. My husbands mom didn’t know he was married and when she found out she wanted nothing to do with him and wouldn’t allow him in my husbands life. It was A LOT!

      So what happened after his father passed that your husband finally found out the truth?

    • @laine_s
      @laine_s 3 года назад

      @CatLover33 (Note: related to your post/ not really related to the episode) I had to stop in my tracks as I read your statement re: your husband, and actually sat here for a moment trying to figure out if through some twist of fate he and I were related (we're not, as my father passed in 2009, but you'll see why...) You see, my late father, who wasn't married to my mother, abandoned us when I was 1.5 yrs old because, as we only recently found out, he got another young woman pregnant, and as her father threatened him, he married that woman instead of my mother. Fast forward to when I was 17: through some freak occurrence, my mother ran into my father on public transportation. He denied knowing her; however, he had his name and employer clearly visible on his work uniform. That was enough information for my mother to take him to court for the back child support HE had readily agreed to in a legal document HE had insisted be drawn up when I was an infant. She won, but as a result of all of this, I found out that I, too, had 5 brothers and sisters I knew nothing about - 2 older, and 3 younger (including a sister who was 51 weeks younger than I) - and I, too, must admit that this revelation was not only shocking, but still the cause of some hurt and bitterness on my part. During the viewing at the funeral home, there was talk of a rumored 7th child (a boy) born of my father and yet another woman, and we wondered if he'd even met his/our father, let alone know that he had 6 half-siblings (5 "legitimate" children + me), which is why your husband's story drew my attention.. If your husband's father had passed just a few years earlier, it might have been a small world after all....
