Honestly, the only few problems the dlc has so far is the lack of cutscenes for remmebarence and required bosses, especially rellana and romina. It's a crime. They never got a cutscene
Not even cutscenes, just a bit of introduction would be good. Romina quite litteraly appears from nowhere and before fighting her I thing you had 0 info on her in character dialogue or item descriptions
for me it's lack of cutscenes, empty world, scadutree fragment system, bosses with so much effects that it drops down fps, not so much new classes weapons(light greatswords, great katanas, exc.) and the final boss of dlc
Yeah that's a really neat detail. I knew that it turned out it was Bayle that ripped off Placi's 3rd head, but no clue that it was in the actual boss's design.
What I find especially interesting is the 5th head that we'll probably never learn about. He's currently missing three heads, and we know Bayle took two. But that fifth one was lost so long ago even the talisman only show's four. There was a battle in an ancient time that we know nothing about, other than that something managed to take one of the dragon lord's heads in his absolute prime.

@@kiro253 you know how there are weapons and spells that are so bad their only purpose is to tell a story? radahn in both fights feels like a lore boss that has nothing else to show. midra is a nobody and was never mentioned in the base game yet his fight is great, while radahn is one of the strongest demigods who is tied to a lot of questlines but both of his fights are boring
One thing that I really wish they did with Radahn more was the whole Mohg aspect. That is a MASSIVE part of what's happening, and there's a whole one bloodflame attack. It would've made the fight a bit more interesting if we had a more mixed together moveset of Radahn and Mohg, with Miquella further mixing it up. I still wish it was someone else, but as is I really wish the Mohg's corpse being turned into a puppet part of the story was a bit more pronounced
i wrote out my own little essay between Midir and Bayle to compare the two bets dragon fights ever made. And I can confidently say that Bayle is the best dragon boss ever made ( in my opinion). Midir reigned supreme for many years but Bayle is simply just better.
@@Kaleb._without summons to soak up aggro it's an atrocious fight when P2 starts, AoE and broken hitboxes all over the place. He looks cool yeah, but gameplay wise, Midir is much more enjoyable to fight

Commander Gaius can be absolutely cheesed by having a shield and a Strength weapon. I used the Rotten Greataxe with lions claw and bleed, so after blocking each attack, I use the special move once or twice, poise break him, then do the riposte attack once he’s down.
You can poise break him with just two lion claw attacks. And if your build is tanky enough you can just press L2 to kill him (but still better to dodge boar charges).
As difficult as it was (120 tries) i loved Radahn's fight, but it is true that fighting him again was disappointing in comparison with having a fully new boss

@@VictorIV0310 In fairness, we already had those discussions plenty. It was made decently obvious in the basegame that Miquella could brainwash people, we just didn't know how much he did it. The DLC confirmed that he does it so much that it's rare for anyone around him to not be charmed. I mean Leda, a lady so devoted to him that she killed the other Needle Knights just because she deemed them untrustworthy, gets brainwashed because Miquella needs to control EVERYTHING around him
@@AndrewH9999 Fr, I've seen complaints about the combo combo he does where he dismounts the horse but it's really not that bad and leaves a rather large opening. I've been able to hit him with the Ruin Greatsword's Ash of War more than a times. AND I've seen complaints about him running away on his horse but he's nowhere near as bad to run to or hit as Elden Beast, Metyr, or Consort Radahn.

I liked the Radahn fight and I like that it provides more context as to why he and Melania were at war but I do hope that the overarching quest either a sequel or 2nd DLC (please Miyazaki) focuses on delivering destined death to Godwyn. The main story showed that Miquella had been unsuccessful in that regard so now that he's been defeated and his power absorbed it makes sense for the plot to move that direction
The other thing woth gaius RE: summons is that I can thonk of any other boss that is so maniaclly fixated on attacking you even if the summon is actively hitting them, it almost feels like they designed a summon-ignoring AI solely for gaius and gaius alone

Midra, Metyr, and Bayle absolutely loved these fights. S tier all of them for me. About Bayle, he doesn’t have a remembrance but no dragon does save Placidusax. A fun little thing I like about these two mega dragon lords is that Bayle’s spells require strictly Arcane whole Placidusax using only Faith instead of requiring both stats like the other dragons and drakes.
Tbh i think the top 3 boss fights are: Midra,Messmer and Rellana Sadly they are really weak and dont have a long fight i wish Midra had a second phase hes so fun to fight Messmer is a glasscanon so yeah. I assume its canon its in the lore😔

Best cheese is what I did. Go in, run in-between pillars of the wall next to fog gate, sunmon mimic and spam bloodboon ritual. Only had to heal once
