    It’s nice to know that you are keen to learn how to cook pinoy foods. Your mama did a good job. My usual Bulalo soup ingredients are: 2-3 pcs beef shanks; 1 cabbage; 1 bdle. bokchoy or pakchoy, 3 pcs saging na saba or plantain bananas- unripe-cut in half; 1 pc med onion; whole peppercorn, patis or fish sauce; 2 cobs corn cut into pieces; spring onions; and 1 litre water. I prepare a mixture of patis and kalamansi in a small bowl on the table and pour half a tsp on top of my rice with bulalo soup. It is simply delicious. By the way, we don’t put beans in bulalo soup.🙂

    • @teamSanz

      You can add green beans if you like not sitaw or string beans.

    Bulalo here in Luzon we dont put bay leaves,garlic , and sitaw. We use white onions, baguio beans and nappa cabbage, whole pepper corn, little bit of fish sauce not soy sauce and salt and of course magic sarap 😊

  • @marilousumo226
    @marilousumo226 25 дней назад +1

    Yes the taste of bulalo soup is delicious because of the beef shanks and the vegetables .. our beef here in the Philippines are organic and grass-fed that is why the taste of beef here is more delicious and savory plus the veggies adds another level but with black peppercorns the soup should taste more delicious

    bulalo, it is fine to add veggies after cooking the bone to preserve the crunchiness, some bulalos also have potatoes, but for me the more veggies the merrier! just cook it how you want to eat it... i am sure that is so delicious,, dont forget the patis to taste and pepper....

  • @mariocruz1460

    This is how i cook Bulalo. Throw the water of the first boiling of the beef to lessen the smell of the meat. Then add water to boil the beef with corn, onion, small amount of pepper and salt. Keep boiling until the meat is tender then add your vegetables and onion spring (onion spring is optional). Taste the soup if your still need to add some salt and pepper. I don't use or put laurel leaves in bulalo. Before eating bulalo. I would make some sauce (soy sauce, kalamansi and chili) to dip my bulalo meat on it.

We put black pepper corn, onions yellow or red will do , cub of corn, potato , carrots, green beans or Baguio beans , cabbage, buchoy and beef stock to make it more tastier and patis or fish sauce . Some people put banana saba it’s good too. Enjoy your bulalo guys 😋😋😋

    See EASY to cook... while at the same time, having fun on where you can choose the quality, nutrients, and taste of the food you eat, especially that you have growing children. Well done, Valentina, Mama, Papa... 💪🇷🇺🙌🫶💞🥰🇵🇭 Half cooked string beans (sitaw) is OK, healthy. Put patis (fish sauce) instead of salt. Big green chili is good, also, for the taste. When you use petchay, no need to use Chinese cabbage. Cut petchay or cabbage in bigger pieces. Also put small size gabi. 😁 I might be interchanging NILAGA from BULALO. Anyhow, they're both perfect healthy soup for me. 😃😘💪🇵🇭💞🇷🇺

When i cook bulalo i just add big onions, beef cubes, a few leaves of pechay, corn and napper cabbage or a few pieces of bochoy if no pechay. Anyways, good job.

    Bulalo!! It looks good and should be tasty, too! Congratulations, Mama Tatiana!
    I use pepper corn powder (I do not like whole), Spanish onion (purple), ginger slices (3,4 slices), patis and salt to taste
    I use beef shank, or tail...there should be bone ligaments and marrow in the beef bones which should be cooked till very soft and gelatinous. With the meat should be onions, ginger, pepper corn, patis, salt and boiled together for 2-3 hours (pressure cooking, 1 hour for 1 kg meat and bones with ligaments and all spices)
    20 minutes before serving, put in the corn and potato (optional)
    15 minutes before serving, put in the cabbage, pechay or pak choi, and Baguio beans. Adjust the taste. if good, then serve hot
    Happy eating!
