I fell all the burning snags for the Gov. and for the province of BC before they would allow fire fighters in to fight fire. This was in the Revelstoke area where there are still 6- 7 feet at the butt Red Cedar and huge Douglas Fir, I made money back then cool job
@@AndreRMeyer now that I see it on a computer screennow it definitely wasn't a conventional bore cut but it did have components of one. Bore cut. That is when you cut your notch into the tree and then instead of doing a conventional back cut you bore through the tree, finish your hinge and cut from the inside out to finish your back cut. You can do a partial conventional back cut which allows you to put wedges in to keep the tree from sitting back on your cut. It is a good cut to know for trees that's are at risk of barber chairing.
The wildfire appeared to have a nice air tunnel dug for it under the roots. Very interesting situation. No fire evidence I could see anywhere around the tree. Just the tree.

Just a question? Always wanted to be a class 1 faller and my dad was one and told me about the green and the black, just asking why did you fall the tree in the green while it's burning? Just for the top half? Then buck up the burning in the black? Just curious? TIA

That air tunnel was one of the trees major roots. It burned out, creating a nice air tunnel to feed fire into the tree.
That man knows his job well done but who brought the marshmallows

Great ! BUT WHY IS THIS TREE BURNING ?
Good job bruh
"Who brought the marshmallows?"
You started the tree on fire before cutting it down. Nothing else around is burnt at all.
Now when you cut a tree that's *not* on fire, you'll have more fun
This might cause a forest fire or somthing
Yeah, it was called the Creek Fire in 2020
Is there any reason they couldnt put the fire out on the tree...
Do you even see the hole inside the tree that had burned off? even if the fire is put out the tree is still a danger from crushing any living being in the area.

Lightning can do that
For better understanding of what you're looking at watch the most recent upload on my channel that features 4 live plasma fires I filmed last summer and hundreds that I filmed for the past 4 years
In wild fires trees will burn from the root system underground into the tree and can actually kindle for months
I'd be afraid of falling into a hole around the rootball.
Stay in your basement then
