I'm glad she talked about this. People think a good singer can sing whatever they want, but often, it's not. Sometimes singers reject songs for that reason, even if they like one in particular, only because it doesn't fit their style.
When singing it in a solo situation, the song, Idol, really is a measure of how efficient one can breath in and effectively use that breath in between long stints and not something you can sing blindly. Having mixed a fair share of Idol covers, some of the singers earlier on who took a crack at singing it before getting a hang of it would miss verses having to take longer breathers. Given Suisei's history of being a singer, I would imagine her vocal coach would've trained her to breath and effectively sing in between breaths for such live situations. However, even if the performer is a well trained singer, just like if a highly experienced driver goes down a track not knowing the layout, it becomes a challenge to know when they can take a deeper breath and when there's a long run ahead before the next break. Now, given the situation that she sang it in, duet, it distributes the workload allowing for longer breaks in between verses and at this point both her and Miko are already well versed in it.
Id say its not exactly a "lie" to to a fact it took them 2 months to finally did it.. Imagine the cicak and choreo 0:22 training they did behund the scene to finally did it
Suisei mean she won't sing it alone course this sort of performing must be ideal. In multisinger performances she have to restrain herself, so she can sing a song, that do not fit her or hard for her. Like on Marine's or Shion 3D lives
Miko be the one to get Suisei to sing it, of course...
It removes having to think of how she wants it done and is how Miko wanted it ^_^
I commented this on Miko’s live haha I was so happy she got Suisei to sing Idol

Well, i mean 2 whole months to practice one song to sing it live is pretty impresive 😂😂😂
...so miko actually does plan ahead 😅
I think she's the one who plans ahead the most within Hololive. That's why she has managed so many events.

I think Mikos voice did a really good job of blending with Suisei and getting the perfect pitch for the chorus
"Everything up to 3:07 " So that was a fking lie
