I'm in two minds about this video. On one hand it looks like tons of fun sweeping through the traffic like this. One the other, I'd explode with anger if I was driving one of those cars.
Wow! Thanks so much for posting this. Never seen anything like it. It deserves far more than 690,000 hits (probably literally, judging by the other comments!). I certainly dont approve, but I wont be hypocritical about it - I really really enjoyed watching it!
AWESOME! city cycling is totally amazing! I ride all day and cycling takes a lot of reflexes and great ahead thinking. It is as if having 6 or 8 eyes and see what's happening ahead, on the side and on the back to keep it running like this. Guys! great race and awesome technique. Well done and keep having fun!
Never normally get like that, especially on the internet of all places but this is probably a topic close to my heart and emotions can therefore run high...which they apparently did. Peace and respect to you too brother.
London is another city on a bike. You all nearly got yourselves killed a few times, brilliant work. The looks on peoples faces were priceless! And the cabbie at the end of the video yelling was just SO London. THAT'S MY CITY!!!!!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I think these guys are some of the best cyclists in the world. Not only do they have freakin AWESOME skills, but they have the courage and mental abilities aswell. A huge thumbs up to everyone who's a messenger, luck to you all, you've my respect. Well done messengers!
Part1:Several years ago I was racing like this on the street / sidewalk, my friend was in front of me, track was clear, when a small child run out of a store yelling "bike!bike!bike!" pointing at my friend and stepping in front of me, with absolutely no possibility to avoid him.I've pulled the brakes, front wheel locked up exactly when I touched him,he just got a little push, and fall on his bottom.
He's right, at least in part. It's not all sped up, and in fact most of it isn't, but if you pay attention you can see that certain sections of it unequivocally are sped up. This can be seen in some of Lucas Brunelle's other videos, too.
Is that movie on RUclips because I've been wanting to see it for a long time. I've heard so many things from that movie and it sparks my interest a lot!
What's the news, I bike like that in Amsterdam all the time. The video shows that by pretending to be a messenger, I can stay on the right side of the road in London :-)
I've been mtbing seriously for 15 years, done my fair share of competitions and spent the last 4 years commuter-cycling 35 miles a day. I've been riding bikes since before you were born, trust me I have no problems in that department :) But I also know how to use the road and not get cyclists a bad name, since antics like these just cause non-bikers to do everything they can to prevent us using the roads.
I used to be a bike messenger in this very same city. I can safely say that it's mostly motorists who cause this kind of behaviour. When there's a truck parked across the cycle lane, your place is at the front of all the traffic, and you have somewhere you were expected to be 10 minutes ago, you need to move fast, and you need to think on behalf of everyone around you. I had a temporary cure for London's insanity with my 116db air horn.
Top film guys...Used to courier in London and Sydney 12 years ago. Miss the buzz now i'm serious...still, always spot an ex courier on his way to work, Timbuk and Endura 3/4...still a race.
I am Brazilian and my dream is to go to london ... is a very beautiful, but I can not go why am young and students. It would be good bicycle ... but London is to be congratulated!
You mean squeezing between the traffic island and the black cab? That's pretty standard stuff I'd say. I wouldn't do it by choice because I'm a bit scared of mega-close filtering but I see loads of people doing it. Two buses is the scariest I've done.
if there are any cycle couriers reading this, i meant to say. I'm trying to decide which pair of road/urban low resistance tires are the absolute best on the market. I'm not too keen on the continental Gator skins although they have a soft rubber they puncture a lot. I went for a whole year with no flats on the Shwalbe blizzards and they grip excelent but I've heard the Bontrager Hard Case and Specialized Armadilos are better?
Gday mateys, did this for 9 years in Sydney. One the funniest things was when someone would beep you about 3 seconds after you had left the intersection! The mail must get through eh lads? Awesome video. And who gave the jaywalkers the right to be labelled "pedestrians" in the media? PS. Ride safe AND safe and never get doored!! Peace- from Willie in Wollongong
Love LONDON....!!!! London is the place where I walked lived loved and kissed in 2003... :D many points of my heart in the video... funny thing that bikers did not care for the traffic at all .... :D LOVE Vicko77 ;)
the advantage with fixies is that you can brake with your foot by stop pedalling. when theyre going at that speed and brake at the same time they skids and according to fixie riders thats a more effective braking method. i just ordered one myself. lol cant wait.
Funnily enough they had the worst accidents and did cause the most danger on the rode because of inexperience and inability to read the traffic. Most of my accidents happened when I was riding by the kerb at a medium pace in a relaxing mode...riding fast and making maneuvers kept me on my toes and I rarely came acropper in those situations. How long were you at it Felipe?
I agree with the red lights, but as a messenger that has gone headfirst through a windshield, sans helmet, i certainly advocate them, even if I don't wear them all the time. They will save you a trip to the ER and a dozen staples.
no doubt this vid beats san francisco, stockholm [emtpy streets], and NYC way down...londON is just tight...and I love its streets...cant find it anywhere else
Congratulations - You've done an excellent job of pissing people off , as for the cycling there's no skill involved, the only talent here is in the pedestrians and the drivers for having such great awareness.
Hey if there are any cycle couriers which tires do you prefer? Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase or Specialized Armadilos, sure the dilos are very puncture resistant but they corner crap in wet conditions due to the ultra hard rubber aswell as kevlon etc. How to the Bontys compair?
I'm a chauffeur in London, I see these guys around. Fuck it guys, ride for your life, enjoy. B4 i was a chauffeur a used to do this on me days off, but always the next day would have a saw throat.
you can track stand with a normal bike, bike doing a quick push to give the bike momentum. i guess its ok for me since where i live doesnt have any hills lol but appearately fixie riders love to go down hill. ive had my fair share of geared and single speed bikes. would be a change for a fixie lol. id suggest you try them if you know someone whos got one. and slowly you might learn to love it lol
i am so amazed by the tight spaces you guys make it through...outrageously awesome!!!
Bring back such found memories. Those were some great years.
cyclists if you fly towards me like these guys are doing to pedestrians in this video, i'll clothesline you
Yeah,no you won't.
I'll take a bite out of your chicken sandwich and throw your nuggets at You!
The end of the clip is the essence of London. A cabbie yelling 'WAAANKA' on full volume. LMFAO.
lol
Gets my adrenaline pumping just watching the video! Can't wait for my ride to work tomorrow morning! :)
I never tire of this video! I love it! I can imagine the old bill at 1:23 thinking "WTF!"
Love it! The last few seconds are definitely the best!!!! Made me smile. Great job!
More than 30 years cycling & i could never ride like that.Skill,talent,crazy..call it what you will.As said before, each one to his own.
Nothing like the feeling of riding with blatant lack of respect for anyone else on the the road.
Sirs I salute you!
Simply awesome! Riding like this on the road whilst mildly irresponsibly is an absolute riot! ;)
I'm in two minds about this video. On one hand it looks like tons of fun sweeping through the traffic like this. One the other, I'd explode with anger if I was driving one of those cars.

you are top cyclists, taking it to the max, and very glad I found you dudes who can ride the way I do!
AWESOME! city cycling is totally amazing! I ride all day and cycling takes a lot of reflexes and great ahead thinking. It is as if having 6 or 8 eyes and see what's happening ahead, on the side and on the back to keep it running like this. Guys! great race and awesome technique. Well done and keep having fun!
thanks for correcting. i see lot of fixies in central london, and wonder how they could get some skills on that
Watching them riding through the city like this makes me want to go back to London SOOOO BAD!
Never normally get like that, especially on the internet of all places but this is probably a topic close to my heart and emotions can therefore run high...which they apparently did.
Peace and respect to you too brother.
I have no idea why i watched this, but it was actually really good. The Music went perfectly. 5/5*
Definitivamente la bicicleta es el mejor vehiculo que puede existir, no contamina, haces deporte y sales de la rutina.
BIKE RULES
Sometimes it seems this video is speeded up, but I'm willing to believe it's real.
HUGE respect for driving like that. You know how alive you feel.
Hammerfall!! What a great music choice for a alleycat movie :)
So much better than New Yorkers we are. Absolutely love it.
i love how you still sat down and watched the video.
London is another city on a bike. You all nearly got yourselves killed a few times, brilliant work. The looks on peoples faces were priceless! And the cabbie at the end of the video yelling was just SO London.
THAT'S MY CITY!!!!!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

definetly the best video by brunelle
Just watched it again to be sure it actually happened lol. Brilliant vid
The only thing I wonder is if anyone of these people have even seen or ridden on a velodrome I mean since they are riding track frames
Wow London looks so wonderful! I wish I could go
I know I shouldn't but can't help liking it :)
Perfect music too.
What an eloquent an well-thought-through reply!
Part1:Several years ago I was racing like this on the street / sidewalk, my friend was in front of me,

pointing at my friend and stepping in front of me, with absolutely no possibility to avoid him.I've pulled the brakes, front wheel locked up exactly when I touched him,he just got a little push, and fall on his bottom.
absolute legends, keep up the most excellent work!!
Sick vid! Good work from fixie at the end lol!

Good job! Greetings from london biker and rickshaw driver!!! ;-)
That is awesome. Really well made.
I got an adrenaline rush just by watching this!
man the skills you need for this high speed weaving... on fixies as well (the ones at the front) are high... very high!
That is so cool. I used to love riding in London.
Is that movie on RUclips because I've been wanting to see it for a long time. I've heard so many things from that movie and it sparks my interest a lot!
that... is bloody amazing! top stuff, any of the riders crazy enough to have no brakes for that stunt?
definite salute!
Anyone else here in 2023 researching for The Great Alleycat of London?
What's the news, I bike like that in Amsterdam all the time. The video shows that by pretending to be a messenger, I can stay on the right side of the road in London :-)
the song is Hammerfall - Heeding The Call

Postie is alive and well and in living in France. P.O.B.
I am Brazilian and my dream is to go to london ...
is a very beautiful, but I can not go why am young and students. It would be good bicycle ...
but London is to be congratulated!
Lol and not a pair of sunglasses gloves and Lycra in sight!
here i sit in front of the screen, unfit, bike gathering dust and rust in shed, wishing i could be doing this with you. go for it. im green.
thats awsome!!!
which rider is this mad skills person???
im building up a fixie at the moment.
ill be out on the roads ASAP
wish me luck
this needs a superimposed "laws broken" ticker
Wow! This is like a crazy fun cycling video game!
Yeah i know, this is insane!
Is this race still going on? Not that i would be crazy enough to take part, but would love to see more of this stuff
You mean squeezing between the traffic island and the black cab? That's pretty standard stuff I'd say. I wouldn't do it by choice because I'm a bit scared of mega-close filtering but I see loads of people doing it. Two buses is the scariest I've done.
Filmed and edited by Lucas Brunelle-- wow that's the same guy that did the NYC one 2 years before, he move to London?
Great video! Thanks for posting. What kind of camera are you using?
Great race dude!!!
I was rickshaw's driver in london:). Riding a bike in london is crazy, thats why i love this city :)
WHAT'S THE NAME OF SONG? ;-)
PTA35722 the song is called "Heeding The Call" by Hammerfall.
@Houldsworth92 Not a police car - it is a British School of Motoring car. It's a learner driver or an instructor.
if there are any cycle couriers reading this, i meant to say. I'm trying to decide which pair of road/urban low resistance tires are the absolute best on the market. COOLEST thing I have seen in Years!

Man thank you for this video !
Love LONDON....!!!!
London is the place where I walked lived loved and kissed in 2003... :D many points of my heart in the video...

LOVE Vicko77 ;)
this is 1 of lb's best vids :-)
Don't hate. Trust me, If you've never done something like this, it's Alot MORE fun then it looks
I believe that the final word said in this video sums these riders up.
the advantage with fixies is that you can brake with your foot by stop pedalling. when theyre going at that speed and brake at the same time they skids and according to fixie riders thats a more effective braking method. i just ordered one myself. lol cant wait.
What a rush. I would love to here all the people shouting at you though.Great stuff
What kind of bikes do they drive, they must be tough and I want to buy a good bike.. plz help!
i like that part when the angry pedestrian threw that soda can.

I fuckin love these guys, and this is actually not as dangerous as it seems because these guys are super aware and agile on their bikes
The number of times I said "holy fuck" to myself while I watched this video...
no doubt this vid beats san francisco, stockholm [emtpy streets], and NYC way down...londON is just tight...and I love its streets...cant find it anywhere else
Much rather watch these guys cycling than the fraggles filming there commute arguing with drivers.
the part with the cabs at the end is ridiculous. glad no one died
Reminds me of the old Paperboy video game. Nice touch flicking to rear view and back.
I'm back TO London(is correct),but can I say "I'm back IN London"?Thanks 4 your response guys!
reminds me of couriering in london, one of the most danderous jobs i did.
got bloody fit though.
crazy ppl, love them and the music awesome!!
insane race.
awesome soundtrack.
Does anyone know if this was ever broadcast on television, terrestrial or satellite?
what's the name of the song? very good vid! :)
its so smart running through crowds and red lights without brakes.

I was laughing about 10 mins when the guy fall out from his cycle in the first minute.
It was too fast for that turn :)
London is the best city ever:) wanna live there!!!
you can track stand with a normal bike, bike doing a quick push to give the bike momentum. i guess its ok for me since where i live doesnt have any hills lol but appearately fixie riders love to go down hill. ive had my fair share of geared and single speed bikes. would be a change for a fixie lol. id suggest you try them if you know someone whos got one. and slowly you might learn to love it lol
