Every animal in the shelter comes from abuse or illness and they are all living happy and healthy lives, who love humans and each other. Takis is my hero.
This guy who once had to sell his car cause he couldn't afford it, has created a heaven on earth shelter. Whoever can help with donations please do it. It's worth it 100%.
Glad to see Viktor and the whole group visiting Takis shelter, both of them saved many lives of abused and abondoned animals. ❤️❤️❤️
Every word so apt to describe what is Takisland. Indeed, it is their mountain to look down on us. Takis gives the animals back their dignity and they so deserve it. With Takis in charge you once again see their life force restored.
Anyone that has the $$ and time, pleaee visit Taki's sanctuary and volunteer. He needs people to help care for the dogs but Taki too. He puts the animals 100% first and forgets he needs food and rest too. Such a wonderful person. 😊
I's almost unbelievable how tranquil and lovely all Takis's dogs are. Look at little Blondie, she seems to be in heaven.
It shows you it only takes a soft ensuring hand for all of these dogs. They all need a lovely caring home though .

One man. Started with nothing and look what hes achieved. Incredible. I will never complain about being tired again! All shelters should be like this. Thank you Valia as always for your beautifull words.
That's nice Sandra that you know sooo good !! Have you ever been to takis ?? Did you work with him ?? How many animals have you already saved? Do you have any animals with you ?? I don't think so, otherwise you would know that it costs a lot to feed the animals. And even if he would build a donation from the house, I would say that's right !! He was the one who put his money at the beginning !!! He also has to live from something work does not work he is there for the animals for four and twenty hours a day !! But you are welcome to replace him !!! You would probably already have your nose full after three days !! He tries to save what we humans do to the animals !! So be a bit careful with your statements !! If you have already done what he has done then I respect you !! But sorry until then, your comments are just stupid statements !!

No one is asking you to watch or support or give money to Takis. In fact id think he probably would nt want it from someone like you. Takis has saved thousands of dogs. He has to feed and house 350 dogs daily. He has to pay vets fees etc etc. And he lives in a container himself. Its all very transparent Sandra. All there for us all to see. So he has nt conned me. And what people has he put down? And as for building his house, he sleeps with 10 dogs on his bed. He deserves a mansion as far as im concerned and i would help him build it with my bare hands if i could. So take your hatred and leave him alone. Takis is an inspiration to all of us animal lovers out there. He is an angel and he created his paradise. He had helped so many. Humanity needs to learn from this and stop hurting these beautiful creatures.
Perfectly described..this isn't a shelter as we know it..but a home for 400 dogs..who all love daddy Takis and bark to say hello and wag their happy tails all day long..this man is unique. .. @Sandra Jones I am truly sorry you have had or are having a very negative personal experience with Takis. And you are right, a video or videos are not the same as knowing someone or having personal interactions with them. However your comments are just that "Nasty" and rather insulting to those who support him. No one person EVER has the same experience with each other, nor ever can, and while I can see you have been very hurt by him, you coming on here and commenting as you do, is actually having the exact opposite response in what you seem to be trying to accomplish. If Takis is what you say he is "a con artist" then unless you have actual proof and as you said in someone else's post take him to court and prove it, you are truly only going to be hurting yourself more by lashing out here, as people ARE going to respond negatively towards you and not him. I know from experience what it is to be wronged by someone who is truly beloved by many people and those said people, who do not know or see the other side of the coin so to speak, WILL stick up for that person without proof of said experience. It ate me up inside for years and to this day no one knows what I KNOW about this person and said person is still beloved. But I realized that it was on this person what they are and what they did and in the end it wasn't about me, but said person and they had to live with what they had done and in a way I didn't expect, life came back to bite this person in the a**. The best I can say is this, I will keep an open mind because you could be totally right, but Sandra truly, this is not the way to get your point across, it will only backfire on you as it seems to of already. I wish you the best and am asking you to please refrain from leaving any more angry or accusatory comments on my thread as I have now said my peace. Sandra Jones you are full of bs! Yes he can be rude but what do you expect if almost everybody interfere and pretend to know better even though they are not in his shoes! You know him you say ... have you ever visit his shelter? He took a dog in wiich I send to him with Leischmania and he was very angry with me but to make a long story short, he took the dog and takes care of him and The dog is now better off with all the care and attention from Takis . I wanted the dog in his shelter because I knew the dog would have a chance with him otherwise he would be dead by now! Yes, Takis scared the hell out of me with his rude answers but I KNOW HIS HEART IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE! Takis did NOT exept my offer to pay for medical treatment so HE IS NOT doing it for the money like certain people say! Although he is/was very angry with me, was rude to me in the conversation I had with him , I respect him ,I trust him I admire him and when I see a glimpse of the dog then I know I made the right decision and for me it was worth it! Make no mistake , his job is not from nine till five!

All because one person, Takis , had a heart and soul and spirit to do something about the criminal cruelty being done to them. He let nothing stand in his way to do it. God bless him abundantly for what he has done to help these poor helpless animals.

Takis rescue is like a resort for dogs. Dogs ask very little to be happy, they are so grounded.
A place to rest, food and to belong and be loved is so little compared to the return you get for having such a friend.
Like lots of people, I love Takis and I follow his instagram , facebook and youtube all the time. He loves his dogs, he is very honest and such a good soul, he knows the names of every 350 dogs plus cats and goats , he is an ANGEL ! Keep in touch with Takis, Viktor, Ermioni and everybody else who's rescuing dogs - you are stronger together and you can educate the general public, so that the next generations are more responsible, with more empathy for animals. @Sandra Jones I know exactly how groups like the one you mention function. They're pathetic and dangerous, I'm sorry you fell into that trap. Whoever the other rescue group on the island is that is against him, it's definitely not one that has any respect for animals, and there a lot like them. They focus on accusing rescuers instead of helping animals, and they do more harm than animal abusers do. I'm sorry you waste your time in such things, it's a sad and dark place to be in. Why don't you spend your time on rescuing, or helping, instead of trying to find dirt where there isn't any? How is your attitude helping animals exactly?

I love Takis so much, he is an incredible human being!!!, 💝I started knowing about the strays in Greece because of him, if not for him I'd never have known...... I'm a vet nurse and I'm working in an animal hospital, and he inspire me deeply to do my job better every single day, I rescue , I heal and I'm involved with animals every day...Takis is my teacher, my mentor, my motto to speak up for the once who are invisible and don't have a voice!!!
