I grew up in a relatively small town and we had a guy who everyone called no-face. He had both his eyes, but the rest was gone. Of course teens and kids would come up with crazy stories, oh he only comes out at night, oh he comes in windows at night. Well my best friend and I were walking one day and saw him, so we went up and asked him what his real story was. He was homeless and attempted suicide with a gun. Regrets it now, but he's in a better place. Still homeless, but had friends. After that we would always stop and say hi when we saw him. Some people had really hard lives. Some people look different. Don't be the one to make their day worse than it already is.

But he managed to overcome it, and live a long life. Sometimes choices made out of innocence can lead to disastrous results. He accepted his circumstance and lived life as best he could. One thing I've learned being a teacher is that people are literally cruel for no reason. From the beginning of time. Adults give teens and young people so much grief because of their poor decision but what's over looked is the poor decision the previous generation made. Which were just as bad if not worse. Why did people feel the urgent need to throw things at this man?
I feel for this man. I hope our society can do better about treating others with respect.

Thank you for bringing this story. Off topic? but, maybe similar in having a friendship with an outcaste of society? I had a friend As a young man living in PA. A Amish gentleman whom was 52 at the time much older then us at 16. It was apparent he had the mind of a child. He had a kind heart and a dirt bike motorcycle I think it was a 175 motocross cycle. He would bring it and let me ride it, I learned to regret introducing him to my friends. He would come and let anyone whom wanted to ride his prized motorcycle ride it. I became friends with his entire family. I would go and hang out with them because I liked them and we built a relationship. I often feel I betrayed him by letting my friends get to know him. They destroyed his motorcycle, after that he would show up with horses to ride. The man craved friendship and they abused it. I went to his family and told them how I felt and that him being friends with my friends is not good for him and asked them to not allow him to come back. I saw him a few times after that when I would go visit his family but, after I told his family the truth about my friends and they no longer let him. He refused to visit with me anymore when I would come to visit. A friendship lost because, I cared about him and didn't want to watch him be abused...

Just really a bad reflection on society that they could be that way because he was much beloved by his friends and family and was a very kind person from all accounts. As somebody who actually was burned so badly I had my legs amputated and have a lot of scar tissue on my rest of my body it's amazing what we can overcome. The electrical lines were 1,200 V line and a 22,000 V lines where he had reached for the nest.

Or "Charlie NO Face.....the monster" BUT NO!! He was a REAL PERSON!! With REAL feelings!! He went thru COMPLETE HELL for his entire life!! His family absolutely loved him and tried to keep him away from the public, to try and keep him safe....But he LOVED to go out and walk.... it was pretty much his only freedom..... But during his walks at nite, teenagers would try to find him, aka find the greenman/monster😢....if they did, SOME were so EXTREMELY CRUEL....he was jumped SO MANY times... and even ran over by a car!!😢 But SOME young ppl actually wanted to befriend him and Ray would smoke cigarettes and drink beers with them!! BUT poor Raymond could NEVER live a full regular life which is so incredibly heartbreaking!!! I wish I could have met him to be able to have given him a BIG LONG MUCH-NEEDED HUG!!!

A very brave man. Shame on those who mocked him. An ounce of the courage he showed would do a lot of people good.

Charlie’s a really nice man it’s sad how he got abused by strangers bc his face :( (technically he doesn’t have a face but still 🤷‍♀️)

Jesus. I couldn't imagine getting zapped, then waking up in a hospital being told you have no face anymore. And his sister and friends must have witnessed quite a sight right after he got electrocuted. His eyes burned out. His hands and arms severely burned. I couldn't imagine.

Over here in Ohio we used to hear spooky stories about the Green Man from Newcastle Penn always around Halloween and also in the summer when we were sleeping in sleeping bags around the campfire awesome time growing up in the late 60s and 70s

He walks to my mothers door step each and every night. My mother gave him food or drink. The man was harmless and cursed by an accident while people were rude and cruel to him. Not everyone but those who did certainly met with wrath of those who protected him. Imagine his courage, just imagine his loneliness as well.

I never heard of Raymond Robinson before watching this story! People can be very cruel. It is a shame what he went through, but he proved how strong of a man he really was. I think people being cruel is getting worse now days and I'm upset by people making fun of others who have had the misfortune of not getting the best in life! I know God has him by his side and has blessed him for the strong person he was! Thanks again for the great truth about Raymond! We need more true posters like you! God Bless! ✝✝✝

Strange thought that he never seen his own face, only others made it known to him that he looked hideous, how sad but this man was a survivor with true inner strength that the name callers didn't have.

What was this tunnel originally for and why did they put dirt inside of it ?
It looks like an out fall for a storm drain
The fact they put sand in there makes me think they probably used to use this as a combined sewer outfall and connected up to a wastewater plant and put the dirt in to prevent any sewage from getting out

Yes the real one is here in Beaver Falls and the water under the presant bridge is wallace run the river to the east is the Beaver river, yes the trolley bridge did the damage, he lived on alley hill road the house is gone now we used to see him late at night here and there we were kind to him and gave him food and drink and candy. This place is my old stomping ground, I still Live in Beaver Falls, thanks for doing this it does Raymond a good turn, he was abused by a lot of nasty mean people we called him by name and not Charlie no face which I think is terrible.
