      @Gresavvi 2 года назад +34

      @@debhcamo i was in the same boat for a long time, but investing in a bigger mouse pad or a desk/re-arranging your desk to the best of your ability helps so much. u can get used to a high sens and u can perform well on it, dont get me wrong, i did for a long time, but having lowered it, im never going back. u get so much more control over flicking, tracking, vertical and horizontal aim. with a faster sens, the only benefit is being able to 180 faster. which also, in my opinion, is the only thing that might be keeping u from lowering your sens, cos for me that was the case. i was playing valorant and i needed to be able to 180 relatively fast and my mousepad was just way too small. but u know what, try lowering your sens a bit and get used to sweeping it twice in order to do a 180. its worth it just for the cause of more control of flicking and tracking etc. at the end of the day, its all up to preferance, theres people out there with huge mousepads and a lot of desk space who still use high sens. in a game like overwatch tho, its harder to get right, cause theres just so much more aiming going on that in a game like cs or valorant, where targets dont move nearly as much. heres where tracking goes into play and makes it harder with a slower sens if your mouse space is small. try lowering your sens ever so slightly. u should be able to find a sweet spot that gives u more control while preserving the speed. for me in valorant for example, rn i play on 0.116 1600 dpi, but i used to play on 0.300 ish before i got a new mousepad. on ow, i believe im on like 6% sens? so itd just be 12 i suppose since its almost double. but yeah. could never go back to a high sens

    • @yozao5736
      @yozao5736 2 года назад +24

      @@debhcamoWell I'm glad you asked. The short of it is precision. There's a whole science to finding your ideal sens based a bunch of factors like resolution and refresh rate of your monitor, dpi, cursor speed in windows ( which is in easy fix just set it to 6 and disable mouse acceleration ), and as u mentioned physical space to move your mouse. There's more but that's like the core of it.
      But yeah, faster refreshing rate on monitors with a high FPS gives you the most up to date information on your screen, while your ideal sensitivity for the space you have gives you the most precision to aim. generally you would want the lowest sens comfortable to you given the space you have and your physical dexterity moving a mouse. You can even consider the weight of the mouse.
      But I'm old and washed these days as an amateur CS 1.6 player, I'm not good nor do I have the time to be good anymore. If you wanna actually deep dive into aim mechanics and hardware check out Rocket Jump Ninja. The dude is a scientist on aim, mouse hardware, and mechanics, down to measuring your physical space to find an ideal sensitivity.

      @TheKampfmaschine 2 года назад +23

      @@actualteddybear891 to some extent yes, though I'd say it is easiest to carry as dps or tank (for me at least).
      Also the difference between low gold/high silver isn't as drastic as between bronze and high gold/plat. For example, I am a low plat tank and can easily wipe a bronze team (with a little healing), but how I do in gold/plat lobbies can depend on my team. I'm consistent, but not always a hard carry.
      Don't get discouraged if you struggle to get back where you were a season before. You made it there once so you already know you can actually do it. And a little luck with good teammates can sometimes take a few games.

A few of those were push games and they lasted about 2 minutes. Mostly bad luck there. Anyway, yeah it just sucks being down in silver where people flame if you ask them to do something like (to the tank) "Hey can you fight this hog instead of letting him walk by you?" It feels like a coin flip sometimes if my team even knows what game they're playing and I just don't know what I'm supposed to do with that. As a high/silver low gold support i also most add, you can carry with support even with shit dpsers, you have supports like ana, baptiste, even zen that you can carry with even with bad dpsers, if you have good aim, positioning and cd management you can wreck enemies with ease.

    Does the other team know who the lower ranked player is? If so, that might be the reason they tend to die first like you mentioned. The other team might be looking at him a bit more

    I love watching these videos because it really helps me see, first, what each ranking looks like and where I probably land, and 2nd, how I can improve. It really is hard to tell what each ranking looks like, especially since I've only played overwatch 2 for a month and never played the first, but I'd love to actually play in a gold or diamond just to see how it feels because, if I'm being honest, the bronze and silver people I've played with 9/10 times have no team work abilities and I feel like they hold me back both in rank and also growing in my skill.

    • @Themcranger21

      Woops, I ment to say I would want to play in gold or platinum. I wouldn't mind playing diamond though I think that would probably be out of my league currently.

    I think my biggest problem is. In comp whatever class I'm in, I make it to the top of my board. And sometimes I get great victories. But then outta nowhere I'll get a team member leavin, dpc healers, tank chasing them kills, or a dps who refuses to switch to counter a character and then we lose

    Getting destroyed isn't solely a bad thing. It's a great way to learn from mistakes and pushes you to improve. When I first started playing Echo in silver before plat, I definitely died a LOT charging into hitscans.

    I think the problem is hubris. People think they belong in a higher elo, so they join a high elo game and think they can pop off. Rather than realizing they're not in Kansas anymore and should be much more observant and proactive than reactive. You know nothing of the things you do not.
